More liberal lunacy. With the huge support of declared Socialist Bernie Sanders out-rallying fellow Democrat Hillary Clinton, it seems credible to ask the difference between the candidates.
Shockingly, the question came from liberal pundit Chris Matthews during a recent interview. According to the Conservative Tribune:
During questioning about 2016 Democrat presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders, who identifies as a socialist, Matthews asked Wasserman-Schultz, “What’s the difference between a Democrat and a socialist?”
After much hemming and hawing, Wasserman-Schultz still couldn’t provide a definitive answer, preferring to evade the question instead.
If that doesn’t tell you everything you need to know, I don’t know what will.
Schultz, a representative from Florida, was answering Matthews’ questioning over whether the socialist senator from Vermont would be allowed to speak in prime time during the Democratic National Convention next August.
Wasserman-Schultz responded that Sanders would be able to speak, but was decidedly noncommittal as to when. Matthews then took his questioning in a different direction.
“What’s the difference between a Democrat and a socialist?” Matthews asked. “I used to think there was a big difference. What do you think it is?”
Wasserman-Schultz, seemingly frozen, let out a nervous laugh and then began trying to weasel out of the question.
Once again, the Democrats are left scurrying from the truth. What is the difference between a liberal and a socialist? There doesn’t appear to be one, which is why Ms. Schultz had such difficulty with the question.
And right now, Bernie Sanders overt socialist campaign is embarrassing a surprisingly weak and ineffective Hillary campaign. And the DNC is running scared.
