The general election just kicked off.
Everyone expected Donald Trump to use his final primary-night victory speech to frame the contest between him and Hillary Clinton.
But pundits were shocked with the biting attacks he unleashed on Hillary.
Trump blasted Hillary as a corrupt and incompetent bumbler who has no business being President of the United States.
“We can’t solve our problems by relying on the people who created our problems,” said Trump, who announced plans to give a comprehensive speech next week “discussing all of the things that have taken place with the Clintons.”
“Hillary Clinton turned the State Department into her private hedge fund,” Trump continued. “The Russians, the Saudis, the Chinese all gave money to Bill and Hillary and got favorable treatment in return.”
Trump was referencing the various pay-for-play scandals surrounding the Clinton Foundation.
The Washington Examiner reported on nine examples of when donors to the Clinton Foundation were “… often given personal meetings, generous contracts or special consideration that was seemingly not afforded to the same number of private groups that had not written checks to the charity.”
Foreign governments also received special treatment.
And the shady dealings between the Clinton Foundation and foreign governments had consequences for America’s national security.
In 2013, the Russian atomic energy agency, Rosatom, acquired one of the world’s largest uranium producers.
In order to acquire the company, multiple U.S. government agencies had to sign-off on the deal.
Among those who gave approval was Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
And that’s when the cash started pouring into the Clinton Foundation, as well as Bill and Hillary’s personal bank accounts.
The New York Times reports:
“As the Russians gradually assumed control of Uranium One in three separate transactions from 2009 to 2013, Canadian records show, a flow of cash made its way to the Clinton Foundation. Uranium One’s chairman used his family foundation to make four donations totaling $2.35 million. Those contributions were not publicly disclosed by the Clintons, despite an agreement Mrs. Clinton had struck with the Obama White House to publicly identify all donors. Other people with ties to the company made donations as well.
And shortly after the Russians announced their intention to acquire a majority stake in Uranium One, Mr. Clinton received $500,000 for a Moscow speech from a Russian investment bank with links to the Kremlin that was promoting Uranium One stock.”
During his speech, Trump also blasted Clinton for her disastrous foreign policy decisions which led to the rise of ISIS.
CBS reports that in his remarks, Trump said Hillary “invaded Libya, destabilized Iraq, unleashed ISIS, and threw Syria into chaos.”
Hillary’s support for the war in Libya also cost American lives.
After the removal of Muammar Gaddafi, jihadists were able to establish a stronghold in Libya which led terrorists to invade our consulate in Benghazi and murder four Americans, including our Ambassador.
Hillary also championed the decision to go to war in Iraq.
The war, as well as Obama’s policy of retreat, destabilized Iraq, leaving a vacuum filled by ISIS terrorists.
After building up their base of operations in the Middle East, ISIS expanded their reach by committing the deadly Paris attacks, killing over 120 innocent civilians.
Will Trump’s attacks on Hillary and her incompetence be enough to deliver him victory in the fall?
