Reports are swirling about Fox News Chairman and CEO Roger Ailes’ imminent departure.
It all started when Gretchen Carlson filed a sexual harassment lawsuit after being fired by Ailes.
A chorus of prominent Fox News women flew to Ailes’ defense.
However, one remained notably silent: Fox News’ superstar Megyn Kelly.
And new details about why she’s remained silent recently surfaced.
As previously reported on American Patriot Daily http://www.americanpatriotdaily.com/latest/megyn-kelly-bombshell-ailes-harassed-me/, according to New York Magazine, two sources briefed on parent company 21st Century Fox said an outside inquiry on the Fox News executive found that nearly a decade ago, Kelly described harassment by Ailes in detail when she was working as a young correspondent.
And Rupert Murdoch and sons James and Lachlan, the three top executives at 21st Century Fox, were moving quickly to oust Ailes.
That is until Ailes received major backup.
With the threat of termination looming over Ailes, Fox News’ top-tier talent is threatening to leave with Ailes, should he be fired or forced to resign.
Bill O’Reilly, Sean Hannity, Shepard Smith, Bret Baier , Greta Van Susteren, Eric Bolling, Neil Cavuto, Laura Ingraham, Geraldo Rivera, Monica Crowley, Kimberly Guilfoyle, all of ‘Fox and Friends’ hosts, and at least 50 Fox News contributors are willing to depart should Ailes leave.
Not only will they leave, they’ll go with Ailes to form a new network.
The development, confirmed by Breitbart News from multiple network sources, certainly puts the Murdochs in a bind.
Do they risk losing their top tier talent simply to keep Megyn Kelly, often seen as the future of Fox News?
The fact that virtually an entire network and its contributors are willing to walk is a big problem for Fox News.
And with the lackluster evidence against Ailes, it’s becoming harder and harder for the Murdochs to side with Kelly over Ailes.
“If Fox wants to become the ‘all about Megyn Network, that’s fine,” one top Fox host said. “We stand with Roger. And real anger has emerged that the so-called Megyn incident happened 10 years ago. The consensus among hosts and contributors is: ‘Why didn’t she say anything then? Really the same woman that posed half naked in GQ? The same woman on Howard Stern saying what?”
According to Breitbart sources, most people at Fox News are extremely offended Kelly made this past Tuesday, the day Donald Trump became the official Republican nominee, all about herself.
Updates on this story are developing fast, and with the Republican National Convention coming to a close, you can expect there to be some major developments after RNC coverage ends.
“If Megyn Kelly wants to leave, we’re fine with that. Good riddance,” a top Fox News Channel host told Breitbart.
Will the Murdochs side with Kelly over Ailes and their upper echelon of talent? American Patriot Daily will keep you updated.
