Democratic presidential candidate, Hillary Clinton, has made a huge mistake by refusing to accept the National Fraternal Order of Police’s endorsement.
You might remember Sheriff David Clarke of Milwaukee County who was made famous when he destroyed CNN’s Don Lemon in an interview regarding the Baton Rouge slayings last month, saying he had predicted the ensuing rage between the Black Lives Matter movement and police officers:
“I’ve been watching this for two years. I’ve predicted this. This anti-police rhetoric sweeping the country has turned out some hateful things inside of people that are now playing themselves out on the American police officer.”
Of course Clarke is correct. He accused Lemon of race baiting and choosing stories of his own preference instead of reporting on all news.
Well Clarke is back again, and he recently told Fox News:
“Anyone running for public office knows that you want and have to have the support of law enforcement and other first responders. She’s made it clear she’s all in with the criminal element. She doesn’t care about victims of crime, she’s a straight up cop hater and is rolling the dice on not having support of law enforcement.”
Clarke made these comments over the weekend after Chuck Canterbury, president of the National Fraternal Order of Police, told The Hill that Clinton had informed her staff she did not need the union’s endorsement, to which Canterbury was deeply “disappointed and shocked.”
Canterbury discussed the issue:
“You would think with law enforcement issues so much in the news that even if she had disagreements with our positions, that she would’ve been willing to say that.”
However, the Republican nominee, Donald Trump, is seeking the union’s endorsement and Canterbury will meet with him on Friday morning.
This is a brilliant move by Trump.
David Clarke continued on Fox News saying:
“There are nearly 900,000 law enforcement officers across the United States. They all have spouses, significant others, kids who are voting age, extended family, parents, friends, neighbors, other relatives who do support a law enforcement all across the country.”
That would be a huge push for Donald Trump in the polls if he were to lock up these votes.
Clinton’s campaign refused to fill out a questionnaire document required for seeking the union’s endorsement, which also came as a shock, because it was assumed Clinton did need their endorsement.
When the deadline passed, Clinton informed the FOP they would not be seeking an endorsement and had decided to roll the dice without them.
Clearly, Hillary Clinton hates the Fraternal Order of Police for some odd reason.
This isn’t too shocking because Hillary Clinton is known for being rude and callous towards the Secret Service and state police – going all the way back to when Bill Clinton was governor of Arkansas.
Sheriff David Clarke also accused the White House of incompetency during his interview in regards to the Iranian nuclear scientist who was executed recently for treason:
“Unfortunately the United States Department of Justice could not connect the dots when they looked at her and the criminal behavior she was involved in. If it wasn’t for the fact that our government is corrupt from the White House down to the Department of Justice she would have been doing the perp walk down her driveway from her home in New York.”
Clarke is also calls Hillary corrupt because classified emails were found on her private server concerning this very issue.
David Clarke is on the war path and it is enlightening to watch.
