ISIS Commander Yousef al-Salafi was arrested by Pakastani authorities recently. During questioning, he admitted receiving $600 for every fighter he recruited and sent to Syria.
He further told Pakastani authorities that the money he receives is routed through banks in the United States.
If al-Salafi is telling the truth, that raises serious questions about American banking practices and the Obama administration’s ability to cut off funding funding to terrorists.
As RT News correspondent Gayane Chichakyan asked, “Does this make U.S. banks complicit in funding terrorists? And were U.S. authorities aware of this?”
