Islamic Santa Clause Recently Waged War Against Christmas, Here’s Why

Recently, there was a horrific attack at a nightclub in Istanbul, leaving 35 dead, and many more wounded.

The attack has since been claimed by ISIS as one of their insane acts of terror.

The attack was particularly gruesome as it occurred around the holidays and was carried out by resurgent Islam members dressed as Santa Clause.

Breitbart News reported:

Istanbul (AFP) – At least 35 people were killed and 40 wounded in a “terror” attack in Istanbul Sunday when gunmen reportedly dressed as Santa stormed an elite nightclub where partygoers were celebrating the New Year, the latest carnage to rock Turkey after a bloody 2016.

Two gunmen entered the venue dressed as Santa and spraying bullets at random inside the Reina nightclub, one of the city’s most exclusive party spots, Dugan news agency said.

“Unfortunately, at least 35 of our citizens lost their lives. One was a police officer. Forty people are receiving treatment in hospitals,” Vasip Sahin told reporters at the scene of the nightclub on the Bosphorus in the city’s European side.

The real reason behind the attack was one of pure fear mongering. The Islamic State, in particular, has led Turkey into a bloody state of devastation, as it is one of the most hard-hit areas in the Middle East in terms of terrorist attacks, but typically the resurgent state does not claim responsibility for attacks in said region for fear of countermeasures by the Turkish government.

Breitbart News reported:

Although several terrorist attacks in Turkey have been blamed on the Islamic State, the New York Times notes it is rare for ISIS to formally claim responsibility for attacks in Turkey, possibly because it did not want to provoke the Turkish government into taking more severe actions against it.

Turkey is now fighting both Kurdish militias and ISIS in Syria, announcing airstrikes on Monday that killed at least 22 ISIS fighters on Syrian soil.

While ISIS seems to be very direct in their claiming of the attack, detailing their reasons for the massacre and their way of carrying out the attack was very specific as well.

ISIS chose to wage a war on holiday spirit and chose a very public and populated space to make their presence known, and to remind officials the terror will not rest until the group is destroyed.

Breitbart News reported:

The Islamic State has formally taken responsibility for the slaughter at the Reina nightclub in Istanbul, issuing an unusually direct official statement that hailed the still-at-large gunman as a “heroic soldier of the caliphate.”

“In continuation of the blessed operations that Islamic State is conducting against the protector of the cross, Turkey, a heroic soldier of the caliphate struck one of the most famous nightclubs where the Christians celebrate their apostate holiday. He used hand grenades and a machine gun and transformed their celebration to mourning,” read the statement from the terror state, as translated by Al-Jazeera and the New York Times.

In a statement released by a government official, one point was made very clear: ISIS will not stop, and neither should countermeasures to defeat them.

Breitbart News reported:

Minister Angelino Alfano in tweets Sunday says the Istanbul New Year’s nightclub attack that killed 39 people “reminds us that the fight against terror doesn’t stop for any holiday or celebration.”

He says “tears aren’t enough.”

Instead, Alfano says: “We must keep fighting against terror. To fight, together, to defend our freedom.”
