James Mattis Walked Into The White House And Revealed A Secret No One Expected

Secretary of Defense James “Mad Dog” Mattis headed over to the White House for one of the most important meetings of Donald Trump’s Presidency.

This meeting could shape the direction of the country for the next two years.

But then Mattis walked into the White House and revealed a secret that no one expected.

Mattis was one of Donald Trump’s All-Star cabinet selections.

Trump choosing Mattis to lead the Pentagon led to praise coming in from across the political spectrum.

Even the Never Trump Republicans and fake news media members lauded Trump’s choice to serve as Secretary of Defense.

However, Mattis had more establishment views on foreign policy.

And that came in to conflict with Trump’s “Make America Great Again” agenda.

Trump retains the support of his base because he works to keep his campaign promises.

When he ran for President, he promised to end Barack Obama’s mistake in Syria.

The President made good on his word when he ordered the military to bring home the 2,000 troops stationed in Syria.

Trump correctly argued that the Syrian civil war was not America’s fight and now that since the military smashed ISIS’s caliphate it was time to come home.

Mattis journeyed to the White House in order to change Trump’s mind.

The Secretary of Defense wanted the President to stick with the Obama plan of endless war.

But Trump refused to budge.

So Mattis resigned.

In his resignation letter, he cited his disagreements with Trump on policy for why he stepped down.

Mattis wrote, “Like you, I have said from the beginning that the armed forces of the United States should not be the policeman of the world. Instead, we must use all tools of American power to provide for the common defense, including providing effective leadership to our alliances. NATO’s 29 democracies demonstrated that strength in their commitment to fighting alongside us following the 9-11 attack on America. The Defeat-ISIS coalition of 74 nations is further proof.”

Democrats, fake news reporters and RINO Republicans whined that Mattis stepping down was the end of the world.

Virginia Democrat Mark Warner – who routinely spreads baseless conspiracy theories about Trump and Russia – claimed Mattis resigning was “scary.”

Warner wrote, “This is scary. Secretary Mattis has been an island of stability amidst the chaos of the Trump administration. As we’ve seen with the President’s haphazard approach to Syria, our national defense is too important to be subjected to the President’s erratic whims.”

But what many Americans find “scary” is the establishment foreign policy figures like Warner argued that Mattis represented.

America has been at war in Afghanistan for 17 years and Iraq for 15 years.

Despite the heroism of our troops and their sacrifice, Americans are wondering what longer troop deployments will accomplish.

Trump was determined not to make the mistakes Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama made.

The President argued our military should be defending our border instead of those in faraway lands.

That message helped win him the election.

And at the end of the day – despite how much Washington may hate it – Trump makes military policy and it’s up to Generals like Mattis to carry it out.

Mattis resigning is his right, but the conniptions in D.C. are more over the fact that Donald Trump is asserting his vision for an America First foreign policy.

We will keep you up to date on any new developments in this ongoing story.

The Anti-Trump “experts” now think Gen. Mattis is a star. They didn’t think so when OBAMA replaced Mattis without even letting him know he was fired! Mattis is a military man … he is a soldier … soldiers fight. We have no reason to continue in Syria. Let the Brits or the French, or Germans step in. We have spent enough men, material, and cash. The ISIS people will not mess with us. We need our military to guard OUR border but the military people are not interested in that … no shooting, no killing, no missles, etc. Bring our boys home!

Agreed. President Trump is no fool. (Have you noticed how infrequently the MSM uses the honorific “President”?) He may be boorish, upon occasion, but not foolish. We had no alternative, if we didn’t want a total sellout.

“Trump correctly argued that the Syrian civil war was not America’s fight and now that since the military smashed ISIS’s caliphate it was time to come home”

War mission accomplished — bring our troops home! Even a great General like Mattis.should understand this, but his business is making war, not ending it.

In general the US citizens are cowards. Let the government reinstitute the military draft and they will scream like banshees! It is funny how they are all for the other guy to put his or her life on the line as long as they only have to watch and/or run if things get nasty.

Yes, the real buffoons of our government. The idiots who protect their own interests before the interests of this great nation. The people who get paid even though our government isn’t funded, who have better medical care than our citizenry & who have retirement better than Social Security. We need to burst their balloons.

        1. Estell Newton

They don’t need retirement and should not get lifelong security. Once they leave the WH their pay should stop. Actually they shouldnt get paid any way. The don’t do their work while they’re there.

          1. Bob

Term limits with a generous lifelong pension might cut way back on the graft and be far cheaper, in the long run.

          2. Estell Newton

Term limits are a great idea. No pensions till retirement age and no body guards unless they pay for their own.

Rod, there are a ton of policies that need to be changed, the first one needs to be on government shut down: Immediate stop of any monies to all Federal and State politicians of the United States from day one. Second change needs to be: Any Federal or State employee can never plea the 5th and if they do, immediate loss of job or all pensions with a mandatory 20 year jail sentence. Hold these dirt bags accountable and the criminal activities will STOP

Should we re-institute the Draft let us not be so generous with the “deferments”. Too damned many politicians and their offspring were given “passes” on patriotism.

    2. Tom F

The end of the draft has been devastating to our citizenry. Too few understand the value of a unified, disciplined, trained population. Take a look at Switzerland – very low crime, low poverty, lots of pride in the country – and no one messes with them; universal military service works for them.

We been there waay too olong. Trump was right to bring them back home. Of course, the generals prefer long drawn out wars to pay off their mortgages.

Like lawyers they charge by the hour and is one reason Robert “Mugabe” Mueller said the investigation would take a year.

    Bunch of ufkcers!

Finally e have a President that shows some balls, now bring home all of the ground troops in all other foreign countries. We should not be letting Americans getting maimed and killed for a foreign country, it’s time to bring all the troops home. airplanes can do the job without boots on ground, if needed. We should no longer be funding foreign countries also.PERIOD. Time to take care of America/Americans, after all these many decades. wasted on foreginers.

    1. Bob

I wonder how Hillary would have compared in that “testicular” thing.

Mayhap it is time to give that “Fortress America” thing another shot.

If the “locals” in the mid-East thought their cause worth fighting for, they would do it. Their lack of motivation is a fair indication of their dedication to a “cause.” I think we’ve done enough. Too much, in some cases. Abandoning the Kurds is an indication of just how much we misunderstand of the area and the sentiments of the people. They are called “tribes” for a reason. Nothing that we do will ever put an end to “tribal warfare”. I seem to recall Joshua saying something about “There will always be war. or the sound of war.”

There is a lot of grief, out there – let us not take on more than our share.

“Let the government reinstitute the military draft” from Richard Rewalt.
Actually, you are right for a different reasons. However, it may never take effect as our regime has something more nefarious on their minds, usage of armies against The People if, needed. Drafted military would not obey.
