The Democrats have centered on Russian hackers as the reason Hillary lost.
They’ve used this excuse to try and discredit Donald Trump’s win.
But the results of a new poll reveal a surprising story that left Democrats furious.
According to a brand new CNN/ORC poll, a solid majority of Americas believe the emails –supposedly released by Russian hackers – didn’t affect the outcome of the election at all.
They also don’t agree these actions should lead to escalating conflict with Russia.
And furthermore, there are still serious questions about the intelligence community’s claim that Russia directed the hacks in the first place.
“Majorities say that if the assessment were to prove true, these attempts would be a crisis or major problem for the US (65% say so), and that the outcome of the election would have been the same regardless of the information released (58% say that). Further, 56% say that despite this situation, the US ought to continue its efforts to improve relations with Russia rather than take strong economic and diplomatic steps against Russia.
But there is less agreement on whether the intelligence community’s conclusions are correct. About 43% say it is extremely or very likely that the intelligence community’s assessment is correct, with another 32% saying that is somewhat likely. About one-quarter, 24%, say it’s unlikely to be true. Democrats are more likely to think the intelligence community’s assessment is correct: 74% of Democrats see that as very or extremely likely, compared with 17% of Republicans.”
These poll numbers indicate the American people saw through the plot orchestrated by the Obama administration, intelligence community leakers, the so-called “mainstream” media, and even Bill and Hillary Clinton to pin the loss on Russian hackers in order to undermine Trump’s Presidency.
So far, the Obama administration has released two evidence-free reports asserting the Russian government meddled in the election by releasing emails obtained from staffers at the Democrat National Committee and from Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta.
And the intelligence community has been leaking the contents of classified briefings to their allies in the left-wing press to poison the public against Trump.
Both Bill and Hillary Clinton have also pegged Russian hacking as the reason Trump defeated Clinton.
Politico reports that Bill Clinton whined:
“You know, I’ve watched her work for two years,” Clinton said. “I watched her battle through that bogus email deal and be vindicated at the end when Secretary [Colin] Powell came out. She fought through that. She fought through everything, and she prevailed against it all. But, you know, then at the end, we had the Russians and the FBI deal. But she couldn’t prevail against that. She did everything else and still won by 2.8 million votes.”
And the Washington Post reports:
“There were some unprecedented factors that I don’t think we can ignore, because to do so is at our peril. Now, don’t take it from me. Take it from independent analysts. Take it from the Trump campaign. Take it from Nate Silver, who’s pointed out that swing-state voters made their decisions in the final days, breaking against me, because of the FBI letter from Director Comey. And Nate Silver believes — I happen to believe this — that that letter most likely made the difference in the outcome. But we’re also learning something more every day about the unprecedented Russian plot to swing this election. And this is something every American should be worried about. You know, we have to recognize that, as the latest reports made clear, Vladimir Putin himself directed the covert cyber attacks against our electoral system, against our democracy, apparently because he has a personal beef against me.”
But the American people are rejecting the Clintons, the media, and the Obama administration’s excuse-making and blame game.
They are also rejecting the fear mongering and saber wielding by the discredited establishment war hawks like John McCain and Lindsey Graham.
McCain has described the Russian hacking as an act of war, and he and other establishment Republicans have joined Democrats in calling for a harsher response to Russia’s alleged hacking.
However, the American people are rejecting this war mongering and are siding with Trump in his desire to improve America’s relations with Russia.
