Obama’s Legacy Isn’t Going As Planned, Media Ignoring His Last Efforts

President Barack Obama is trying to make a legacy for himself in his last month in office, but to no avail.

Even liberal media sites are ignoring some of the recent changes he’s made in terms of presidential appointments.

Media organizations, which are traditionally liberally-biased, are withholding this information from their readers.

Organizations such as the New York Times, The Washington Post, and CNN are some of the culprits that have been withholding information regarding presidential appointments questionably made by President Obama in his final weeks as Commander In Chief.

Obama recently appointed two new officials to the United States Commission on Civil Rights.

His actions in regards to the appointment of officials were surprising so late in his term, but his choices for the positions are questionable – at best – as well.

The Daily Caller reports:

One of the appointees is Debo Adegbile, who was previously nominated to the Department of Justice’s Civil Rights Division but was blocked by a bipartisan group of senators due to his defense of former Black Panther and convicted cop killer Mumia Abu-Jamal. Unlike that nomination, Adegbile’s appointment — which pro-police groups have described as a “slap in the face” — does not require congressional approval.

“Mr. Adegbile did not simply defend a client. He supervised an effort to lionize unrepentant cop-killer Mumia Abu Jamal, who cold-bloodedly murdered Philadelphia police officer Danny Faulkner 35 years ago,” Toomey said in a statement last week. “Mr. Adegbile supervised the effort to spread misinformation about the trial and evidence, fabricate claims of racism, malign Philly police, and organize rallies across the globe that portrayed this brutal cop-killer as the victim.

Police groups decried Adegbile’s appointment as well. John McNesby, president of the Philadelphia chapter of the Fraternal Order of Police, called the appointment a “kick in the teeth to the cops.”

The other appointee was equally as questionable.

The Daily Caller reports:

The other appointee is Catherine Lhamon, the assistant secretary for civil rights at the Department of Education, who spearheaded the Obama administration’s transgender mandate currently the subject of litigation. Lhamon has close ties to left-wing activists and played a key role in the infamous Rolling Stone rape hoax.

The move made by Obama was not solely without purpose; by making such appointments, Obama blocked President-Elect Donald Trump from filling the positions himself until 2020. The appointments last for six years.

The Daily Caller reports:

In addition to questions surrounding the appointees themselves, the move by Obama effectively blocks President-elect Donald Trump from any appointments to the eight-person commission until 2020, when Trump would be up for re-election.

It is likely that the media organizations are blacking out the information regarding these appointments due to the unqualified appointees made by the Democratic president. The media organizations are likely avoiding any blowback from critics.

The Daily Caller reports:

Liberal media organizations like the Washington Post, New York Times and CNN have nevertheless kept their readers in the dark. By publishing time, none of the three had even acknowledged the appointments, much less their impact or the blowback from critics.

Do you believe Obama’s picks for the ambassadors to the US Commissioner of Civil Rights were good ones?

Do you believe that these media organizations should be allowed to blackout the information regarding this news due to the inevitable fallout?
