Nancy Pelosi has always been an avid speaker against President Donald Trump.
As House Minority Leader, Pelosi has often caused problems for Republicans in Congress as Democrats pushed back against legislation under her leadership.
But now, Pelosi is scheming to gain the House back, and impeach Trump in the process.
On Thursday morning’s broadcast of MSNBC Live, political reporter Jeremy Peters stated Pelosi is trying to gain a majority back in the House of Representatives– and that her first move will be for the impeachment of the president.
Peter claimed despite Nancy Pelosi’s recent findings of common ground with the president, she would certainly stab him in the back and push for impeachment if given the chance.
The Daily Caller reported:
[Peters Added], “[T]he president’s new best friend, the minority leader in the House, is going to impeach him if she gets the House back. I mean, that is going to happen. And Trump should realize that. And he thinks, right now, that he’s cutting a deal to really — what I think his ultimate impulse here, his ultimate motives are to undermine Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell and remind them that he’s fully capable of cutting these deals on his own. But, you know, the establishment Republicans are not your friends, Donald Trump. The Democrats are really not your friends.”
Both Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer, Senate Minority Leader, have been working with the President to find a solution to the DACA issue sparking controversy within the nation right now.
Democrats are fighting to keep the program created by former President Barack Obama intact, while Republicans relied on President Trump’s campaign message to end it.
Fox News reported:
In a joint statement, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., said they and Trump had “agreed to enshrine the protections of DACA into law quickly, and to work out a package of border security, excluding the wall, that’s acceptable to both sides.”
…The White House issued a statement describing the meeting as “constructive” and “a positive step toward the President’s strong commitment to bipartisan solutions for the issues most important to all Americans.” The statement added that the three had discussed “policy and legislative priorities,” including “tax reform, border security, DACA, infrastructure and trade.”
Trump, who was deeply disappointed by Republicans’ failure to pass a health care overhaul, infuriated many in his party when he reached a three-month deal with Schumer and Pelosi to raise the debt ceiling, keep the government running and speed relief to states affected by recent hurricanes.
“More and more we’re trying to work things out together,” Trump explained Wednesday, calling the development a “positive thing” for both parties.
“If you look at some of the greatest legislation ever passed, it was done on a bipartisan manner. And so that’s what we’re going to give a shot,” he said.
Despite their recent bipartisan attitudes, the Democratic Party has been “warning” Pelosi not to trust Trump–and to press for impeachment the first chance she gets.
The Democratic base is growing anxious as its leaders order Chinese food and make deals with the president who many in their ranks would prefer to see impeached.
