The bogus accusation of Moscow interfering with the 2016 presidential election has proven to be a one-in-a-million long-shot effort for the pathetic Democrats to flip the Electoral College against our President-elect Donald Trump.
This charge is being led by none other than House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi’s daughter, Christine Pelosi, and, apparently, ten electors are demanding an intelligence briefing on the issue.
Overturning what the Electoral College has already decided is proving to be an impenetrable task, given that Pennsylvania and Wisconsin have already backfired against the Democrats.
The Washington Post reported on anonymous CIA sources who claimed that Russian hackers meddled in the election against Hillary Clinton by tapping into the Democratic National Committee and Clinton Campaign emails.
Of course this is just a liberally fueled effort to try and undermine the U.S. Constitution and Democracy.
Isn’t that what Democrats have always done?
Trump agreed it’s just another excuse when he said recently in an interview:
“I think it’s ridiculous. I think it’s just another excuse. I don’t believe it.”
Coincidentally, the bid to overturn Donald Trump’s victory gained momentum on the exact same day Pennsylvania and Wisconsin legitimized their November 8th count.
The Washington Times reported:
“The recount in Wisconsin, initiated and funded by Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein, showed Mr. Trump picking up 131 votes, which changed the outcome by 0.06 percent. He won the state by about 22,000 votes.
Mr. Trump took to Twitter on Monday evening to repeat his claim that the recount effort was just a fundraising opportunity for Ms. Stein. ‘The Dems and Green Party can now rest. Scam!’ he said.
Meanwhile, a federal judge rejected the Green Party’s request for a recount of paper ballots in Pennsylvania, which Mr. Trump also won. The judge said Ms. Stein’s suspicion of voting machines being susceptible to hacking ‘borders on the irrational.’
Ms. Stein also filed for a recount in Michigan, which a judge halted last week after three days. Mr. Trump carried the state by fewer than 11,000 votes out of 4.8 million cast.”
But that didn’t stop some of the delusional electors from resting their efforts.
In their letter to Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, they said:
“Ongoing investigations into ties between Donald Trump, his campaign or associates, and the Russian government interference in the election.
We further require a briefing on all investigative findings, as these matters directly impact the core factors in our deliberations of whether Mr. Trump is fit to serve as President of the United States.
… [Trump must prove] that he and his staff and advisers did not accept Russian interference, or otherwise collaborate during the campaign, and conclusive disavowal and repudiation of such collaboration and interference going forward.”
Why should President-elect Trump ‘have’ to prove anything?
The fact is all of these electors already decided they weren’t going to vote for Donald Trump anyway. So, whatever another investigation would produce, they will still pull excuses to not vote for him out of thin air.
Regardless, it’s a nearly impossible scenario and these electors are ruining their future chances with their constituents for undermining the Democratic process.
Donald Trump won.
Get over it.
