In the spirit and tradition of Christmas, the “Merry Christmas” greeting was exchanged each Christmas season by Americans all across the country.
Loved ones exchanged it with each other, and elected officials wished their constituents the same Christmas cheer.
The Merry Christmas greeting was expected each Christmas season and unified the country to appreciate the spirit of the Christmas season.
However, when Obama and his liberal pals took over the White House, they decided “Merry Christmas” was too offensive and refused to allow it to be spoken.
Instead, the generic “Happy Holidays” replaced the long-time Christmas greeting cherished by Americans.
In the past, conservative pundit Bill O’Reilly warned the American people the danger of leftist extremists who were determined to bury the phrase “Merry Christmas” for good.
All in the false guise of “political correctness”, liberals forced their anti-conservative agenda on millions of Americans.
This year, Obama sent his last Christmas card out with no mention of Christmas.
The Daily Caller reports:
“As our family reflects on many happy years spent in the White House, we are grateful for the friends we’ve made, the joy we’ve shared, and the gifts of kindness we’ve received,” the card reads. “We wish you and your loved ones a joyous holiday season and a wonderful new year.”
But now the days of left-wing political correctness are coming to a screeching halt, as Trump is just weeks from taking control of the White House.
Trump campaigned on the promise to bring back Christmas, and he’s already honoring his promise as he travels the country speaking to large crowds.
“So when I started 18 months ago, I told my first crowd in Wisconsin that we are going to come back here someday and we are going to say merry Christmas again,” Trump said. “Merry Christmas — so, merry Christmas everyone. Happy New Year, but Merry Christmas. And I am here today for one main reason: to say thank you to the people of Wisconsin.”
And as Fox News reported, Trump also had the same words to speak to a Michigan crowd:
“We’re going to start saying Merry Christmas again,” Trump said, noting that over the past number of years many department stores have kept their more secular decorations, like fake snow, red walls and bells, “but they don’t have ‘Merry Christmas’.”
President-elect Trump hasn’t even officially taken control of the White House yet, but he’s already demonstrating faithfulness to the American people by honoring his pledge to reinstate the phrase “Merry Christmas”.
Trump vowed to bring back Christmas, and he’s doing it.
Earlier last year, when Trump was speaking to a crowd of conservatives, he promised if elected he would stop the leftist political propaganda.
The Washington Times reports:
“The word Christmas: I love Christmas,” he said. “I love Christmas. You go to stores now, you don’t see the word Christmas. It says, ‘Happy holidays’ all over. I say, ‘Where’s Christmas?’ I tell my wife, ‘Don’t go to those stores.’ “
“I want to see Christmas — no, I want to see Christmas,” he said to applause.
“And you know, other people can have their holidays … but Christmas is Christmas,” he said. “[Remember] the expression ‘Merry Christmas?’ You don’t see it anymore. You’re [going to] see it if I get elected, I can tell you right now. I can tell you right now.”
