A massive Democratic scandal has been growing for over a year now, with no end in sight.
Once again, it involves servers and emails.
But with one tweet, Trump just blew up the scandal—and may have made the call for justice that was desperately needed.
Democratic IT aide Imran Awan was operating with almost unrestricted power while he worked under Democratic Representative Debbie Wasserman Schultz.
During his time as an IT aide, Awan was suspected of hacking the government network.
Worse yet—nearly his entire family joined the payroll of House Democrats.
This allowed Awan exactly what he needed to steal government secrets—“the keys to the kingdom” he gained by having his family work for about 1 in 5 House Democrats.
Shockingly, Imran Awan had the personal passwords to all of Debbie Wasserman Schultz accounts.
He was called to unlock Wasserman’s device when it was under investigation by the DNC.
And this was no secret.
During the 2016 election, the House’s Office of Inspector General warmed they believe Awan was making unauthorized access to these files—but nothing came of it.
In February of 2017, Paul Irving, the House’s Chief Law Enforcement Officer, wrote a letter to the Committee on House Administration urging them to take justice.
“Based upon the evidence gathered to this point, we have concluded the employees are an ongoing and serious risk to the House of Representatives, possibly threatening the integrity of our information systems and thereby members’ capacity to serve constituents…. This could have resulted in Member’ data being accessed by someone unknown and unauthorized by the offices.”
Despite the big push for his removal during the 2016 election, it wasn’t until after President Trump’s inauguration that Awan was removed from his position.
The case was finally handed off to Capitol police, ensuring the Awan family’s removal from their positions.
But even after their removal, a key piece of government software—the Caucasus server—was removed.
This was prime evidence in the case as it could prove Awan had been purging information for private use.
Still, Debbie Wasserman Schultz refused to fire Awan and wouldn’t explain how that was justified.
Now, President Trump has had enough, and he is hitting back hard.
In one tweet, President Trump just blew up this massive government scandal.
Trump tweeted that this Democratic scandal is a key piece of much of the government corruption Americans are subjected to.
Our Justice Department must not let Awan & Debbie Wasserman Schultz off the hook. The Democrat I.T. scandal is a key to much of the corruption we see today. They want to make a “plea deal” to hide what is on their Server. Where is Server? Really bad!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) June 7, 2018
The plea deal President Trump is referring to in the aforementioned tweet is being negotiated between the Department of Justice and Imran Awan–supposedly for minor charges.
Despite the serious nature of the misconduct documented by the Inspector General, it seems that Awan may walk free with only a minor inconvenience on his part.
President Trump’s inference is correct–this is Democratic corruption at its peak.
Do you believe Imran Awan may walk free?
