Trump Sent A Stunning Message To The Media

The media declared war on President Trump.

But unlike other Republicans, Trump and his administration are fighting back.

And part of that effort included Trump and his chief strategist sending a stunning message to the media.

Trump’s first week in office has seen an unprecedented media assault to damage the new administration.

One reporter falsely claimed Trump moved the bust of Martin Luther King, Jr. out of the Oval Office in a politically-motivated smear to paint Trump as a racist.

The Washington Post ran a fake news story claiming State Department senior management resigned as part of a wave of career foreign policy officials refusing to work for Trump.

These media hit-jobs were piled upon the coverage from the campaign where the media assumed the role of Hillary Clinton surrogate, and the transitions where multiple fake news stories were published about Russian hacking in order to delegitimize the Trump Administration.

But Trump and his team are fighting back.

In an interview with Sean Hannity, Trump ripped the media coverage and singled out the so-called “journalist” who claimed he moved the Martin Luther King, Jr. bust.

Mediaite reports:

Trump stated that it was a “very serious charge” because it wasn’t that they said the bust had been taken out, but “what they’re saying is that I’m a racist.”

POTUS  would also claim that “when it was revealed that they were very wrong, nobody even talks about it.” He later added that he “had great respect for Dr. Martin Luther King.”

But that was just the warm-up.

In an interview with The New York Times, Trump’s chief strategist Steve Bannon unloaded on the media, calling them the “opposition party” and ripping them for getting nothing right during the campaign.

The New York Times reports:

Just days after President Trump spoke of a “running war’’ with the media, his chief White House strategist, Stephen K. Bannon, ratcheted up the attacks, arguing that news organizations had been “humiliated” by the election outcome and repeatedly describing the media as “the opposition party” of the current administration.

“The media should be embarrassed and humiliated and keep its mouth shut and just listen for a while,” Mr. Bannon said in an interview on Wednesday.

“I want you to quote this,” Mr. Bannon added. “The media here is the opposition party. They don’t understand this country. They still do not understand why Donald Trump is the President of the United States.”

Bannon continued his blistering critique of the biased news media.

The Times also reports:

Speaking by telephone on Wednesday, Mr. Bannon delivered a broad indictment of the news media as being biased against Mr. Trump and out of touch with the American public. That is an argument familiar to readers of Breitbart and followers of personalities friendly to Mr. Trump, like Sean Hannity of Fox News.

“The elite media got it dead wrong, 100 percent dead wrong,” Mr. Bannon said of the election, calling it “a humiliating defeat that they will never wash away, that will always be there.”

“The mainstream media has not fired or terminated anyone associated with following our campaign,” Mr. Bannon said. “Look at the Twitter feeds of those people: They were outright activists of the Clinton campaign.” (He did not name specific reporters or editors.)

“That’s why you have no power,” he added. “You were humiliated.”

Conservatives cheered as Bannon described the media for what it was – a bunch of partisans with press passes who lost all credibility during the campaign by morphing into an apparatus of the Clinton campaign.

The broadcast media who spew “fake news” should have their FCC licenses
revoked permanently. They are frauds, commies, etc. shut them down!

I totally agree; Anyone in the press corp who has published “fake news” needs to have their credentials pulled by the FCC; they are, after all, a federal entity!

When the 1st Amendment was adopted there were likely more independent newspapers in metropolitan Philadelphia than there are now in total all the U.S. cities of that size or larger. In my youth, 1945 New Orleans had 3 independent papers and Miami had 2, not tabloids but actual newspapers in competition with each other. Now they have none, their single newspapers are subsidiaries of major chains and toe the mark of the publishing companies at the tops of their chains.

The Founding Fathers never intended for the news to be monopolized nor did they intend for newspaper publishers to have near immunity in libeling public figures. In their day if the libel was serious enough the test was usually a duel and the editor often died or was disgraced.

Would love to see that now; and as it is D. Trump who has been slandered, the choice of weapons is his and in a battle of wits; he could take on any 10 at the same time and have no worries!

      • ToniStimmel

I think it’s the challenged who chooses and provides weapons not the challenger unless otherwise agreed to.

        • James

If someone slandered me, I would consider that a challenge.

        • Danni Smith

so, that’s your input? A lib with no facts, so creating an issue over who is the challenged and who is the challenger? Positioning as Trump is the challenger? Because he reacts and responds to attacks? Poor you-having to live in this world with yourself and no escape.

          • ToniStimmel

If the slanderer wanted the duel to prove himself he would issued the challenge and thus be the challenger and Trump would be the challenged with all the choices. Something’s wrong with that scenario, if the slanderer wanted a duel he would have challenged and insulted him to his face.

A more likely scenario is that the slandered thinks he will get away with it even if it’s not true, and he gets challenged by the slandered who thereby becomes the challenger.

          • Danni Smith

wrong- becomes the defender. The plaintiff and the defendant-the plaintiff is the challenger, and defendant is the challenged. If an initial averse action had not taken place, there would be no need to challenge, be a challenged or a challenger. Therefore the first attacker is always the challenger and the object is always the challenged.

The media should be prosecuted for all their false accusations, and if they continue with lies shut them down.

It’s so sad to see that the American media (presstitute) is a useless news source. It serve as a ministry for the leftist party. Lies. Media, Left is biased against President Trump. They worked hard to salvage Clinton’s legacy in a shattered Libya. etc.
When the illegal residing man in the Oval office- Obama announced his “immigration” plan which, not coincidentally, was not aired by any lame stream enemidia station; but, it was aired by Univision and Telenundo. Interestingly, these stations are largely watched by those of Hispanic geneaology.
The illegal alien leader of this country claims “our immigration system is broken; everyone knows that.” Again, the question to be answered has lingered – “How is the US immigration system broken?” Still, the illegal administration of Obama have never stepped forward to answer that question.
The only thing “broken” about US immigration law is the government’s lack of enforcement and creation of “exception” that have harmed legal US citizens.
However, when now, our new elected President arise up to protect the interests of legal citizens. The enemedia screamed its head off, this has happened in the past as well as recent times to the utter amazement of many citizens. Citizens born in the US, as well as those who legally participated in immigration an naturalization, are outraged at the favoritism exhibited toward lawbreakers, instead of the interest of the citizens.
Immigration is not an issue of race, politics, gender, or religion. Immigration is a tool that protects this nation from harm from within.

The FCC should make all media print and broadcasts state a disclaimer after each presentation “This information may or may not be accurate and is only presented for your entertainment”.

  • PATRICIA MEAD

Only those turned in can shut them down! The Jewish owned media’s license will not be revoked as they also own those who might revoke the license.(FCC)

    • Jake319

Oh the outrage! In 1986 president Reagan had the FCC remove the “fairness doctrine
This doctrine had been in place since radio broadcasting. Once this doctrine was removed.
The corporations invested in media outlets. Rhubarb Murduch a immagrant was allowed to purchase tv stations in every market in the US. Even though he had less then $30 million in assets. So now the brand of journalism is offensive, degrading and outright lies 24/7

I agree that the mainstream media has become a monopoly owned and run by the rich and powerful hows self interest is their first priority. Our government is riddled with politicians that accept money from these monopoly’s putting their interests above the of the people. We need to break up these monopoly’s and DRAIN the SWAMP. Ethics laws need teeth to punish the blood suckers.
