Victory For Trump, As He Promises To “Make America Great Again”

Trump made history Tuesday night when he defied all of the polls and won the Presidency.

In his victory speech, Trump assured the American people that as a country we would “Make America Great Again”.

Thousands of Trump supporters flooded New York City to listen to his victory speech, which highlighted his thankfulness for scoring the victory, as well as reiterating the fact that the nation needed healing over its divisiveness.

The New York Times reports:

Now it’s time for America to bind the wounds of division; have to get together. To all Republicans and Democrats and independents across this nation, I say it is time for us to come together as one united people.

Trump went on in his speech to commend Hillary for her hard- fought campaign, although his praise of her was short lived.

Trump assured the American people he would be a President of all people, saying it was one of his most important goals.

The New York Times reports:

It’s time. I pledge to every citizen of our land that I will be president for all Americans, and this is so important to me.

The President Elect also went on to beg those who previously did not support him to support him as their President, so the country could be united and move forward into a new year with a better hope for the future of America.

The New York Times reports:

For those who have chosen not to support me in the past, of which there were a few people. . .

. . . I’m reaching out to you for your guidance and your help so that we can work together and unify our great country.

As I’ve said from the beginning, ours was not a campaign, but rather an incredible and great movement made up of millions of hard-working men and women who love their country and want a better, brighter future for themselves and for their families.

Significantly, Trump outlined his dream of a better America, an America not led by corrupt politicians such as Hillary Clinton, but one led by the people, for the people.

The New York Times reports:

Working together, we will begin the urgent task of rebuilding our nation and renewing the American dream. I’ve spent my entire life and business looking at the untapped potential in projects and in people all over the world. That is now what I want to do for our country.

He described his plan to better roads, schools, hospitals, and more. He mentioned fixing the epidemics found in inner-cities. Most importantly, Trump vowed to help the Veterans of the United States.

Trump spoke of doubling America’s economic growth over his term as President, as well as to “get along with nations who get along with us.”

The New York Times reports:

Nothing we want for our future is beyond our reach.
America will no longer settle for anything less than the best.
We must reclaim our country’s destiny and dream big and bold and daring. We have to do that. We’re going to dream of things for our country and beautiful things and successful things once again.

Trump asked for everyone to help him achieve common ground and unity, rather than hostility, in order to truly “Make America Great Again”.

What are your thoughts? Do you think Trump will help unify the United States in this very divisive time? Will America truly be “great” again?
