Mitt Romney’s vote to convict Donald Trump on one of the Democrats’ articles of impeachment stunned Republicans.
But there is a hidden allegation about Romney that may explain the vote.
And Mitt Romney allegedly has this secret Hunter Biden connection that just blew up in his face.
Mitt Romney finished his career with his Senate vote. It seems pointlessly self-destructive to vote to remove President Trump.
He has ousted himself from the Republican Party and while he may be a Democrat darling at the current time, they won’t be giving him any important positions.
Traitors are never trusted even by the side that they serve.
Maybe there was a more personal reason that he voted to remove President Trump from office for investigating Joe and Hunter Biden’s Ukrainian connections, such as because it hit a little too close to home for comfort.
Was Joe Biden the only US politician that Burisma influenced by paying the people close to them vast amounts of money to be on their board?
Mitt Romney’s friend was also on the Burisma board at the same time as Hunter Biden.
A top Mitt Romney adviser in 2011, Joseph Cofer Black, served as a “special adviser” on Romney’s Foreign Policy and National Security Advisory Team.
As Erielle Davidson of The Federalist put it:
According to The New Yorker, Hunter joined Burisma’s board in April of 2014 and remained on it until he declined to renew his position this past May. Meanwhile, according to Burisma’s website, Black was appointed in February of 2017 and continues to serve on its board. The timelines would indicate that Black and Biden worked together at Burisma.
Davidson also noted that Burisma’s 2017 picture of board of directors shows Hunter Biden and Joseph Black together in the photo.
Black explained his role to the Ukrainian News saying:
“My role will be to advise the Group with respect to its security practices and protocols, including on the most effective protections and programs to guard against cyber-attacks. Unfortunately, today many international companies are subject to data and other cyber-attacks that result in exposing and manipulating information; in particular false information that brings harm to global companies. I also believe my international experience in numerous countries around the world will be of use in shaping the Group’s international expansion strategy.”
Though Black might have let slip his real role on the board of directors when he said:
“I will do all that I can to work with leaders and decision-makers and those trying to influence them of the positive impact a privately held energy company like Burisma can have on Ukraine.”
It could just be a coincidence that the only Republican to vote against President Trump has such a close Ukrainian connection.
Romney wasn’t bothered at all when the Democrats investigated Trump for years without warrant because of the Russiagate hoax.
But when Joe Biden’s reputation is on the line, suddenly Romney jumped to the defense.
It’s odd that Romney would act against his own self-interest just to make a pointless gesture of defiance against Trump.
Mitt Romney needs to answer some serious questions.
