Presumptive Democrat Party Presidential nominee Joe Biden faces the biggest decision of his political career.
Who will Biden choose as his running mate?
And now Biden got smacked with some bad news when an Attorney General declared this Joe Biden VP contender may have broken the law.
Paul Laxalt served as the Attorney General of Nevada before running for Governor.
Former Attorney General Laxalt appeared on Tucker Carlson’s show to discuss the growing scandal surrounding Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer awarding a no bid contract to perform contact tracing to a left-wing political consulting firm.
Former Attorney General Laxalt alleged that Whitmer circumvented Michigan law to award the contract.
“I think she could be in big trouble,” Laxalt explained. “Let’s see what happened here, so this contract gets awarded to this Democratic group, and politics and your official office are never supposed to overlap.”
“And that’s where we could find the real trouble,” Laxalt added. “Did they go through the hurdles they should have to pass the state contact?”
“And I would add one interesting thing, any contract over $250,000 goes to a public board that the governor sits on, the Attorney General sits on,” said Laxalt, who also ran unsuccessfully for governor of Nevada in 2018. “The public could have seen it, they could’ve asked questions. Magically this thing ends up under that threshold so, lo and behold it doesn’t go to a public board. So there’s a lot of questions to be answered and of course the governor could clear this up by simply releasing these records and letting the public know exactly how this contract came about,” Laxalt concluded.
After a massive outcry Whitmer’s administration admitted that “normal protocols were bypassed when a no-bid contract for coronavirus contact tracing was awarded by the state to Great Lakes Community Engagement, which is operated by a well-known Democratic consultant Michael Kolehouse.”
This held the potential for a massive election rigging scandal.
Contact tracing involves interviewing the known contacts of someone infected with coronavirus and collecting sensitive medical data.
Whitmer schemed to turn this into a Democrat data and vote harvesting operation by allowing left-wing activists to run the contact tracing and overseeing the data collected.
Whitmer’s status as a female swing state governor shot her to the top of the list for potential running mates for Joe Biden.
But this corruption scandal dashed all of that.
Whitmer’s profile skyrocketed as Whitmer appeared on every cable and broadcast network talk show that would book her.
In these interviews, Whitmer relentlessly attacked Donald Trump with lies and smears about his administration not responding to state requests to manage the coronavirus pandemic.
That is out the window.
Whitmer is damaged political goods as this shady no bid contract that put medical data and privacy at risk as part of a Democrat Party election rigging scheme proved Whitmer to be just another corrupt politician.
