RINO Senator Mitt Romney just crossed an unthinkable line.
Romney picked his spot to sabotage the President.
And Mitt Romney just joined the Democrats at the one moment Trump needed him most.
Romney voted to convict the President on the Democrats articles of impeachment, but failed to remove the President from office.
Mitt Romney seethed after that defeat, but never abandoned his desire for revenge against President Trump.
The coronavirus pandemic provided Romney a prime opportunity to jam a knife into President Trump’s back at a time to inflict maximum political damage.
In an unhinged interview on CSPAN Romney blasted the Trump administration’s response to the coronavirus with a series of falsehoods.
“Then just in terms of crisis management, the willingness of the federal government to step in and to coordinate everything from PPE to testing to repair of our hospital systems and so forth, those things, none of those things really stood out as being great moments in American leadership. I think the world was a bit surprised by that,” Romney began.
This was a lie.
The Trump administration pulled off a historically successful logistical operation to supply the American health care system with personal protective equipment (PPE) and ventilators.
Operation Air Bridge was the most comprehensive and successful American air supply operation since the Berlin air lift in the early 1960s.
This mission transported over 1 billion pieces of PPE into America on 100 flights and ensured frontline healthcare workers had all the equipment necessary to fight and win the war against the coronavirus.
But Romney omitted these facts in his fictional version of events.
“When it came to PPE when it came to testing, and just the speed of our response looked slow relative to people like well, South Korea, Singapore, China, Germany and even Sweden to a certain degree. So that first phase is not one that will stand out, I think, as being a great moment in American leadership,” Romney added.
Romney tried to shift any credit for America’s success to the scientific community while at the same time slamming President Trump’s allegedly slow response.
“The first phase, we didn’t look real strong, and that’s kind of an understatement, but after this is over, I think what we will have been able to do, and our technology base will maintain the reputation we have as being a leader, if not the leader of the world,” Romney declared.
Donald Trump’s opponents – Democrats, the fake news media and Never Trump Republicans – are committed to brainwashing the American people into thinking the President completely dropped the ball on responding to the coronavirus pandemic.
But the coronavirus is a novel virus – which means no one had ever seen it before.
America’s testing system was not set up for a pandemic of this type.
In just 45 short days the administration ramped up testing from just a few thousand per week to over 1.6 million.
That happened at the same time the President organized the greatest mobilization of American industry since World War II to produce tens of millions of pieces of PPE and hundreds of thousands of ventilators.
Romney ignored all these facts – which could have been used to tell an American success story that could unite the nation in a time of emergency – to weave a tale of falsehoods designed to sow mistrust in the public about the administration’s response and hurt President Trump in the November election.
