The January 6 Committee just got hit with a massive defeat.
It was a setback committee members never saw coming.
And this top Republican destroyed the January 6 Committee with a bombshell revelation.
In the committee’s last hearing of the summer Virginia Congresswoman Elaine Luria thought she was about to deliver a knockout blow to Missouri Senator Josh Hawley.
Luria described testimony falsely claiming Hawley incited a mob on January 6 by raising his fist solidarity as he walked into the Capitol hours before Trump supporters entered the building.
The Virginia Democrat showed that image of Hawley followed by video of Hawley evacuating the Capitol.
“We spoke with a Capitol Police officer who was out there at that time. She told us that Sen. Hawley’s gesture riled up the crowd, and it bothered her greatly because he was doing it in a safe space, protected by the officers and the barriers. Later that day, Sen. Hawley fled after those protesters he helped to rile up stormed the capitol. See for yourself,” Luria stated.

This was a dishonest smear on Senator Hawley.
When Senator Hawley saluted the crowd it was a peaceful gathering and no one had any idea what would transpire later on.
But in an interview with CNN Senator Hawley shrugged off the committee’s attacks explaining that it was an honor to have such hacks and thugs like the members of the January 6 Committee as his enemies.
Hawley also thanked the committee for boosting his fundraising as conservatives rallied to his defense.
“I don’t regret anything that I did that day,” Hawley said in an interview with CNN. “It’s a privilege to be attacked by the January 6 Committee, and I want to say thank you for all the help with my fundraising. It’s been tremendous.”
Senator Hawley added that it wasn’t a surprise that the committee came after him – Senator Hawley was the first Republican who announced they would object to the results of Pennsylvania’s Electoral College votes on the grounds the state violated its own Constitution in expanding mail-in-balloting.
“I don’t regret anything I did on that day,” Hawley concluded. “And the reason I’m being attacked by the January 6 Committee is because I’m in their way, and the stand that I took is one that I don’t regret and I won’t back down from.”
The January 6 Committee is a sham.
Committee members first goal is to destroy the rule of law and democracy in America by pressuring the Department of Justice to indict Donald Trump.
But secondly, the committee is out to destroy anyone that opposes the Democrat Party.
Senator Hawley learned that lesson but he refused to back down.
