Major League Baseball caved to leftwing cancel culture.
Corporate America has declared war on Republican run states to try and crush conservatives once and for all.
And this top Republican had a jaw dropping reaction to baseball moving the All Star game.
Major League Baseball’s cowardly commissioner Rob Manfred bowed to sponsor pressure and moved the 2021 All Star Game and draft out of Atlanta over the state’s new election integrity law.
Manfred released a statement that announced the decision without citing anything in the law they found objectionable.
“Over the last week, we have engaged in thoughtful conversations with Clubs, former and current players, the Players Association, and The Players Alliance, among others, to listen to their views,” Manfred wrote. “I have decided that the best way to demonstrate our values as a sport is by relocating this year’s All-Star Game and MLB Draft.”
“Major League Baseball fundamentally supports voting rights for all Americans and opposes restrictions to the ballot box. In 2020, MLB became the first professional sports league to join the non-partisan Civic Alliance to help build a future in which everyone participates in shaping the United States. We proudly used our platform to encourage baseball fans and communities throughout our country to perform their civic duty and actively participate in the voting process. Fair access to voting continues to have our game’s unwavering support,” Manfred concluded.
Baseball and the woke corporations threatening economic terrorism against Georgia figured Georgia Governor Brian Kemp would fold the way South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem folded when the NCAA threatened her state over a bill banning biological males from playing girls sports.
But in an interview with Tucker Carlson Kemp surprised the corporate chieftains and leftwing activists by declaring that Georgia would not back down and reverse course on election integrity.
Kemp correctly noted that when you bend the knee once for the cancel mob they know they have you and will never relent in threatening boycotts to force red states to accept the socialist left’s agenda and way of life.
“No, I think just the reverse. I can tell you — we are not backing down. The members of the legislature that voted on this bill that were duly elected in November are not backing down. People are rising up because they’re worried. They’re worried. You know, they’re worried who’s going to — what sport is going to be next? You know what event is going to be next? What business is going to be next?” Kemp stated.
Many Trump supporters were disappointed with Kemp during the 2020 election.
But Kemp standing strong against the woke mobs and corporate bullies that were blatantly lying about a bill that expands early voting to 17 days, allows poll workers to pass out food and water, but requires voter ID when requesting and submitting an absentee ballot being “Jim Crow on steroids” restored his standing in the GOP ahead of his 2022 re-election campaign.
