Everything President Trump feared about Adam Schiff just came true.
Schiff wasn’t humbled by his impeachment defeat. Instead, Schiff became more determined than ever to take down Donald Trump.
And Adam Schiff just threw this ultimatum at Donald Trump. Now all hell is breaking loose.
Ever since the impeachment hoax, reports in the press indicate that President Trump hesitates to share sensitive information with House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff because of how Schiff will manipulate what he is told to leak damaging stories to his pals in the fake news media.
President Trump’s biggest nightmare came true when the New York Times published a story resurrecting the Russia hoax.
Times reporters – and Schiff’s loyal partners on the Russian collusion hoax Adam Goldman and Maggie Haberman were among the four names on the story byline – claimed Acting Director of National Intelligence Joseph Maguire and staffer Shelby Pierson delivered a briefing to the House Intelligence Committee.
In the briefing, Pierson exaggerated the intelligence community’s finding by claiming that the Russians were interfering in the 2020 election to elect Donald Trump.
The New York Times exclusively reported:
“Intelligence officials warned House lawmakers last week that Russia was interfering in the 2020 campaign to try to get President Trump re-elected, five people familiar with the matter said, a disclosure to Congress that angered Mr. Trump, who complained that Democrats would use it against him.”
The Washington Post reported, “The official, Shelby Pierson, said several times during the briefing that Russia had ‘developed a preference’ for Trump, according to a U.S. official familiar with her comments. That conclusion was part of a broader discussion of election security that also touched on when the U.S. government should warn Democratic candidates if they are being targeted by foreign governments.”
Republicans pushed back against Pierson’s baseless claims pointing out that Donald Trump had been tougher on Russia than any President in a generation.
GOP committee members also wondered why Russia would prefer Donald Trump to Bernie Sanders who praised the Soviet Union in the past and honeymooned in Moscow.
The Times reported that, “At the House briefing, Representative Chris Stewart, Republican of Utah, who has been considered for the director’s post, was among the Republicans who challenged the conclusion about Russia’s support for Mr. Trump. Mr. Stewart insisted that the president had aggressively confronted Moscow, providing anti-tank weapons to Ukraine for its war against Russia-backed separatists and strengthening the NATO alliance with new resources, according to two people briefed on the meeting.”
But the point of the briefing was clearly to put these overhyped claims about supposed Russian election meddling in front of Adam Schiff so they would leak to the media.
And that is exactly what happened.
Schiff later took to social media accusing the President of a high crime of allowing foreign election meddling, the very abuse of power Democrats impeached the President for last year.
“We count on the intelligence community to inform Congress of any threat of foreign interference in our elections. If reports are true and the President is interfering with that, he is again jeopardizing our efforts to stop foreign meddling. Exactly as we warned he would do,” Schiff tweeted.
President Trump was furious about this attempt to smear him by breathing new life into the Russian collusion hoax.
Instead of cowing in the face of Schiff’s threat, the President replaced Maguire as Acting Director of National Intelligence for his and Pierson’s insubordination with Richard Grenell who is currently the Ambassador to Germany.
