Adam Schiff believes he can get away with anything.
But there are some lines that even he can’t cross in his attempts to impeach Trump.
And Schiff was just caught red-handed in a sick scheme that will end him.
Since day one of President Trump’s presidency, he hasn’t been opposed to investigations.
Even when they are fruitless, he simply wants the truth to be known.
At the start of the Mueller investigation into Russia collusion, Trump was fine with it, until he realized it was nothing more than a witch hunt.
The recent impeachment probe is the same.
Trump knows he did nothing wrong, and that a fair court would find that very quickly considering they wouldn’t find any evidence of a crime to begin with.
But what he has a problem with is Adam Schiff’s secret impeachment court which is operating entirely with the rules written by rabidly anti-Trump Republicans who have been in favor of impeaching him since the first day he got into office, and would impeach him over literally anything they could if given the opportunity.
And despite purported attempts to quell these concerns, Schiff continues to make things even worse.
Schiff recently announced that Republicans can bring witnesses before this impeachment court, and potentially for public hearings.
But just as quickly as he gave them this news, he smacked Republicans with news proving that his “olive branch” offering is far from fair.
He told Rep. Devin Nunes, who is the ranking Republican in the House Intelligence Committee, that any witnesses he brings forward must be able to answer three questions that are framed to favor Democrat talking points.
The questions Schiff detailed in his letter to Nunes are below:
“1. Did the President request that a foreign leader and government initiate investigations to benefit the President’s personal political interests in the United States, including an investigation related to the President’s political rival and potential opponent in the 2020 U.S. presidential election?
- Did the President — directly or through agents — seek to use the power of the Office of the President and other instruments of the federal government in other ways to apply pressure on the head of state and government of Ukraine to advance the President’s personal political interests, including by leveraging an Oval Office meeting desired by the President of Ukraine or by withholding U.S. military assistance to Ukraine?
- Did the President and his Administration seek to obstruct, suppress, or cover up information to conceal from the Congress and the American people evidence about the President’s actions and conduct?”
If it were a Republican sending these demands to a Democrat in any committee they control, all hell would break loose in the media.
Schiff and his Democrat pals are welcome to haul anybody they want before the committee.
But before any Republican is given the same opportunity, they must go through a labyrinth of requirements that are entirely decided by Schiff and his friends who control the House of Representatives.
The only fair thing to do now would be to immediately force Schiff to shut down his impeachment court, which has crossed the line on dozens of occasions, and continues to divide the nation.
Do you think Adam Schiff’s impeachment court should be shut down?
