House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff is rushing his impeachment witch hunt to a conclusion before anyone realizes Schiff is running a rigged game.
But Schiff’s scheme is in danger of collapsing.
And Adam Schiff worried all hell will break loose when three impeachment truths go public.
Republicans from President Trump on down – except for Democrat Party asset Mitt Romney – ripped Adam Schiff and Nancy Pelosi for running a secret, Stalinist style impeachment inquiry.
Witnesses testify behind closed doors and Schiff hides the transcript of their testimony under lock and key so Democrats can cherry-pick leaks to frame the President for this phony Ukraine scandal.
Trump ally North Carolina Congressman Mark Meadows – who sits on the House Oversight Committee and has attended the depositions Schiff held as part of his kangaroo court – sat for an exclusive interview with the Daily Caller where Meadows revealed three truths that would end the impeachment witch hunt.
“It’s just a matter of fairness,” Meadows told the Daily Caller. “It’s one thing to keep members of Congress out, it’s another thing to keep the American people out. But they’d had enough — we reached a boiling point, so a number of members who were not on the committees of jurisdiction had articulated that this may be one of the most important votes that they ever take.”
“There’s three things I would want to see: One, is it shouldn’t be in a SCIF,” Meadows stated.
Schiff is holding the hearings in SCIF –which limits the ability of lawmakers to access documents such as the transcripts of witness testimony – despite the fact that there is no classified material being discussed in these depositions.
Meadows then ripped Schiff for denying President Trump the due process rights to call witnesses and subpoena documents that past Congresses afforded to Richard Nixon and Bill Clinton during the previous two impeachment inquiries.
“The second part of that is all about fairness and due process,” Meadows added. “It’s not right the only one group of people get to call their witnesses, get to request and have subpoena power get information, and where the minority is denied those kinds of due process protections.”
Finally, Meadows told the Daily Caller that White House counsel should be allowed to attend these hearings to ensure witnesses don’t violate executive privilege.
“Third is, get counsel in there that protects some of the equities of the executive branch. I’m one for real aggressive oversight, I’m all about that, but at the same time, the office of the presidency — the personal conversations that he has among his staff and his senior level cabinet members, those are protected.”
“So if we do those three things I think it could go a long ways to allowing the verdict to be one that would not only acquit this president, but certainly provide a more balanced opinion to what’s happening,” Meadows concluded.
