The election continues to draw closer.
And now it seems that AOC is having second thoughts on the Democrats most advertised scheme.
And Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez confessed something about the election no one expected.
Ever since the start of the pandemic, the Democrats have been fervently pushing for Americans to adopt the mail-in ballot system rather than go vote in person.
Stacey Lennox of PJMedia describes their strategy succinctly:
“To execute their election strategy, which ideally includes ballot harvesting, they depend on people mailing in their vote or handing it to an activist on their porch. Additionally, they have already filed lawsuits to extend the acceptance period for mail-in ballots. This move is despite all of the serious problems with the process we have seen historically and recently.”
Despite the constant stream of analyses and data to prove that mail-in ballots are fraught with fraud and pose a huge risk to the legitimacy of the vote, they have continued to bulldoze ahead.
Claiming to be concerned for people’s health and well-being, the Democrats have all but ignored science and reason all together to push for mail-in ballots.
But now it appears that AOC no longer believes that spiel.
This past Sunday, she tweeted:
“I am voting early and in person. What’s your voting plan?”
This tweet is shocking to say the least because it flies directly in the face of the intense marketing campaign the Democrats have crafted to discourage in-person voting.
No one is quite sure what her play is here.
Health officials report that in-person voting can be done safely at this point in time, negating the Democrats propaganda about “fearing for our health.”
While it is still paramount to follow proper sanitation and safety procedures, it is safe to go outside.
The truth of the matter is this: mail-in voting is a disaster waiting to happen.
There are no guarantees that ballots are not fraudulent, the USPS is still suffering from extreme budget cuts, and overall it is not a system that will work on the grand scale of the US.
Votes could be duplicated, lost, or altered.
According to statistics, voters appear to be disenfranchised at a rate of one in five through mail-in voting.
This means that one out of every five people will potentially lose their ability to vote if the entire country used this system.
Across the entire US, that is approximately 65.6 million people.
The fact that AOC is using her platform of millions of followers to encourage people to go out and vote is incredibly encouraging.
Hopefully, this will prevent an enormous amount of voter fraud and accurately demonstrate what the American people want.
