You’d think after the concentration camp comments Alexandria Ocasio Cortez made, she’d keep her mouth shut about immigration.
And while the comment drew consternation from both sides, she’s not done raising a ruckus.
But now, Alexandria Ocasio Cortez is in deep trouble after Fox News has caught her in a big lie.
It’s apparent, AOC just can’t help herself and likes to say things that make people love and hate her. But conservatives know that after she puts her foot in her mouth, when she takes it out, nothing but lies emanate.
Which is exactly what happened when AOC decided to continue the conversation about the immigration situation, she lied and Fox News caught it in an interview with Senator John Kennedy.
This is all about the false comparison between immigration detention centers and concentration camps.
Anyone with two brain cells to rub together realizes how ludicrous it is to call a detention center, where people are detained after illegally entering the country, to a concentration camp, where people were imprisoned, gassed, starved and murdered by the millions.
The fact that she’s doubling down on her comments proves she’s fine with lying about these detention centers.
Even funnier is how Ocasio-Cortez stretches the truth when she describes these centers, but won’t vote to authorize funds to help make the camps better.
AOC seems to think if these detention centers were granted better budgets it would mean more effective means of killing along with better body disposal… not better care for illegal aliens.
This is what Senator John Kennedy (R-La) is frustrated about. The utter hypocrisy drives him crazy.
And he believes her rhetoric isn’t doing anything to help the plight of despondent immigrants and is driving people on either side of the aisle further apart.
In an interview on Fox News, Kennedy sounded off on why AOC’s lies are doing nothing to enrich the lives of the migrants she pretends to care about.
“The hypocrisy is breathtaking,” he said.
“On the one hand, she says you are running a concentration camp, and then she refuses to provide the president with the money to enlarge the facilities.”
He continued, “I realize that she thinks socialism and illegal immigration and abortion are moral goods,” he said, “but we’ve got a huge problem we are trying to solve here. The congresswoman has basically demagogued the whole thing and I’ve just about concluded she’s more famous than wise.”
More famous than wise is not a bad way of putting it.
AOC is far more famous for the ridiculous things she says than she is for bringing sensible legislation to the table that’ll help to improve the lives of people she represents (and doesn’t represent).
It almost appears she’s chasing the fame.
Why else would she say something so defamatory about the Trump administration? She’s just like all of the other headline-hungry Democrats who are more concerned with their image than they are about the betterment of our nation.
We can be sure AOC will not let opportunities pass to rip the President on his handling of the immigration situation.
Nevermind a significant number of Americans support how the President has handled the border, for AOC it’s all about soundbites and sowing division.
