Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez found herself in the middle of a national controversy.
The socialist Congresswoman usually creates a crisis because of what she says.
But this time was different, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez saw red after what this Republican said about her.
Florida Republican Congressman Ted Yoho confronted Ocasio-Cortez on the east steps of the Capitol over Ocasio-Cortez’s outrageous remarks about the rise in crime plaguing New York City was because poor people were looking for bread to feed their family.
Yoko told Ocasio-Cortez she was “out of her mind” before storming off.
A fake news reporter that witnessed the encounter claimed Yoko uttered a profane slur at Ocasio-Cortez.
The following day Yoko spoke on the floor of the House of Representatives and apologized for acting in a rude manner and storming off.
“I rise to apologize for the abrupt manner of the conversation I had with my colleague from New York,” Yoho stated.. “It is true that we disagree on policies and visions for America, but that does not mean we should be disrespectful. Having been married for 45 years with two daughters, I’m very cognizant of my language.”
But Yoko declared that he never said the “offensive name-calling words attributed” that were attributed to him.
Yoho also explained that “if they were construed that way, I apologize for their misunderstanding.”
However Yoho told the House that “I cannot apologize for my passion or for loving my God, my family and my country.”
This infuriated Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez who expected Yoho to grovel for forgiveness before being expelled from the House of Representatives.
“Republican responds to calling a colleague “disgusting” & a “f—ing b*tch” w/ “I cannot apologize for my passion” and blaming others. I will not teach my nieces and young people watching that this an apology, and what they should learn to accept. Yoho is refusing responsibility,” Ocasio-Cortez hysterically ranted on social media.
“- Does not apologize or name any action he did – Does not accept responsibility – Lies (this was not a “conversation,” it was verbal assault) – Distracts by making it abt poverty (ironically) – Says everyone else is wrong and the incident never happened. This is not an apology,” Ocasio Cortez added.
Yoho had nothing to apologize for.
The Florida Republican denied swearing at Ocasio-Cortez.
If anything, millions of Americans felt Ocasio-Cortez owed the apology for excusing murder and mayhem with mind blowing comments that killers and gunmen in New York were just noble family men pushed to the brink of starvation and just looking to feed their children.
The fake news media – naturally – rallied to Ocasio-Cortez’s side.
That’s because so-called “reporters” worship her.
But Yoho did not give in to the mob and refused to apologize for something he never said.
