Democrats screamed bloody murder when Robert Mueller leaked a letter claiming Attorney General William Barr misrepresented his report’s findings.
Maxine Waters led the charge in using this leak as evidence that Congress needed to kick impeachment talks into high gear.
But then all hell broke loose when Maxine Waters went on TV and got caught red-handed telling this huge lie.
The night before Attorney General William Barr was set to testify to the Senate Judiciary Committee, Robert Mueller – or one of the Democrat attack dogs on his team – dropped a stink bomb of a leak of a March 27th letter where Special Counsel Mueller whined to Attorney General Barr that the media coverage surrounding the results of his report was not negative enough against Trump.
“The summary letter the Department sent to Congress and released to the public late in the afternoon of March 24 did not fully capture the context, nature, and substance of this office’s work and conclusions,” Mueller complained to Barr.
“There is now public confusion about critical aspects of the results of our investigation. This threatens to undermine a central purpose for which the Department appointed the Special Counsel: to assure full public confidence in the outcome of the investigations.”
Mueller wrote this letter for one reason—so it could be leaked at a time when it would inflict maximum political damage on the Trump administration.
Mueller’s team decided that just hours before Barr’s testimony was the right time to pull the plug.
And the fake news media and Democrats reacted exactly as Mueller and his cabal of anti-Trump conspirators had hoped.
So-called “news” outlets trumpeted this letter as a major bombshell.
Maxine Waters was one of the first to respond to Mueller’s clarion call by running to the nearest cable news program and demanding the Attorney General to resign or be impeached.
“I think that Barr should resign. If he does not resign, he should be facing impeachment proceedings also. He has abdicated on his responsibility. He’s lied. He has used the very words coming right out of the president’s mouth, ‘no collusion, no collusion, no collusion.’ And made a decision that despite what the counsel put into that report about obstruction of justice, he said he made the decision that he had not obstructed justice. It is outrageous, and he needs to go,” Waters declared.
But Waters was lying.
The Mueller report found no criminal conspiracy between the Trump campaign and Russia.
Attorney General Barr’s declaration of “no collusion” was a simple statement of fact.
Her assertion that Barr somehow overstepped his bounds on deciding there was no obstruction of justice case also falls apart.
Despite what Mueller claimed in his letter, it is not a prosecutor’s job to weave a narrative.
It is to bring charges or not.
That is it.
When Mueller – who is the equivalent of a United States attorney – failed to render a judgment on obstruction of justice, someone in the Justice Department had to.
The only individual to make that call is the Attorney General.
Barr examined the flimsy case Mueller put together and decided there would be no indictment against Trump.
The news cycle was dominated by Mueller’s gangster move to sandbag the Attorney General ahead of his testimony.
But the second days worth of news will focus on the fact that the Democrats and the fake news media completely lied in the initial claims about Mueller’s letter.
