Barack Obama has come out of hiding with a big plan to shake up the Democrat Primary.
He’s thrown the field into chaos.
Barack Obama finally decided to break his election silence with some big news.
The Democrat establishment finally decided that maybe having Bernie Sanders, a democratic socialist who never met a communist dictator he couldn’t defend as the nominee wasn’t a good idea.
Bernie Sanders has made so many enemies over the course of his career that the Democrat Party is willing to do anything to stop him.
Even though the Democrats have given up their superdelegates, that doesn’t mean they’re going to leave the decision of the nominee up to the party’s voters.
Obama has finally decided that it’s time for him to make his play and take Bernie Sanders out once and for all.
Pete Buttigieg spoke to both Biden and Obama after dropping out of the race.
It’s clear the Obama decided to pull some strings to keep Bernie Sanders from running away with the race on Super Tuesday.
Once Joe Biden won South Carolina, Democrat leadership decided to rally around the 77-year-old former Vice President despite his faltering memory.
According to Breitbart News, Obama broke his silence to congratulate Joe Biden on his win:
Obama reportedly called Biden, according to “sources close to” the former president to congratulate him for re-energizing his presidential campaign in South Carolina…It also appears to be a rare departure from his set precedent of not getting involved in the primary process.
There were no reports of Obama calling former Mayor Pete Buttigieg after he won Iowa or Sanders after he won New Hampshire or Nevada.
Buttigieg announced his decision to drop out of the race on Sunday night, which shocked his supporters who felt that he could still compete.
Obama still will not endorse Biden or any other candidates before the primary, according to reports, a position he staked out at the beginning of the process. Obama met with Biden before his former vice president announced his campaign and even hinted that he probably should not run, according to reports.
There has not been a clear winner among any of the Democrat candidates.
Joe Biden has been the frontrunner mainly because most of the other Democrats are truly awful rather than because anyone actually wanted to vote for him.
And even if Trump beats him soundly in the general election, Biden won’t swing all the down-ballot races solidly Republican like Bernie Sanders was sure to do.
This move is a risky one on the part of the Democrat leadership; they risk alienating Bernie Sanders’ voters yet again and causing a division within the Party.
Joe Biden doesn’t inspire the same devotion that Bernie Sanders does, his base isn’t energized.
The Democrats are going to have a real challenge uniting their base after this primary season whether it is Bernie Sanders or Joe Biden who wins the nomination.
