Former Vice President Joe Biden has a giant decision facing him.
It could help decide the outcome of the 2020 election.
And now Barack Obama just dropped this giant hint about Joe Biden’s running mate.
Former Vice President Biden announced at the last Democrat Presidential debate he would pick a woman as his Vice Presidential running mate.
That led to pundits speculating on who Biden might select including California Senator Kamala Harris and Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar.
But Biden also said he had spoken to former President Barack Obama about his running mate selection process.
Shortly after that conversation, Obama dropped a hint at who Biden may select by publicly praising an interview Elizabeth Warren gave to the far-left website Vox.
“As she often does, @SenWarren provides a cogent summary of how federal policymakers should be thinking about the pandemic in the coming months,” Obama wrote.
Warren used the interview as a test run for the traditional role of attack dog that the Vice Presidential nominee plays by repeating the false claim that Americans ended up behind the eight ball on coronavirus testing because the Trump administration refused to purchase the World Health Organization kit.
“I believe that the reason that the Trump administration wouldn’t buy the World Health Organization test kits was they didn’t want them. They didn’t want to see a crisis here in America. I think this is part of a mindset that a president believes that he can just declare how the world works and somehow the world will conform to him. And, boy, that doesn’t work in reality. It sure doesn’t work in a pandemic,” Warren claimed.
This was a lie.
Even left-wing “fact checkers” at PolitiFact called Biden out for peddling falsehoods.
The World Health Organization sent training material for tests to 29 nations with “the weakest healthcare systems” and that list surely did not include the United States.
Warren also burnished her credentials as an Obama cheerleader – something important to both Biden and the base – by falsely claiming that the economic recovery lagged under Obama because Republicans did not want to spend trillions of dollars on socialist programs.
“One of the lessons from 2008 was that, frankly, the Republicans just wouldn’t go for a big enough stimulus package. And that meant the recovery was slower and more anemic than it would have been had we put more money into stimulus. They were determined not to let Barack Obama have that kind of power in the recovery. And we paid a price for it as a nation. We’re still paying a price for it. Now, it’s the same kind of thing. We’ve got to have a strong enough response to support our families, to support our small businesses, to keep the parts of this economy functioning that are absolutely essential for our physical health and ultimately for our economic security,” Warren added.
There is very little enthusiasm for Biden’s candidacy on the left.
Democrat voters look at him as a boring, old, corporate owned and operated, white man.
Questions about his declining mental state continue to haunt Biden to this day.
Biden’s last chance to boost the enthusiasm levels among Democrats is with his running mate selection.
And Barack Obama may have just provided Americans a clue with the ultimate identity of Biden’s running mate.
