The never ending war over Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation rages on.
Democrats are still finding ways to smear Kavanaugh and destroy him.
And Brett Kavanaugh looked on in horror with what this Senator just accused him of.
California Democrat Kamala Harris shot to national prominence with her performance during the Kavanaugh confirmation hearings.
Fake news reporters and Democrat activists were thrilled by Harris’s aggressive attempts to smear Kavanaugh with lies and hoaxes.
And that attention turned her into a viable Presidential candidate.
In fact, Time Magazine asked Harris to pen an essay on Christine Blasey Ford – the woman who falsely accused Kavanaugh of sexual assault – who was chosen for their ‘100 Most Influential People’ list.
Her story, spoken while holding back tears, shook Washington and the country. Her courage, in the face of those who wished to silence her, galvanized Americans. And her unfathomable sacrifice, out of a sense of civic duty, shined a spotlight on the way we treat survivors of sexual violence.
Christine Blasey Ford’s ambition wasn’t to become a household name or make it onto this list. She had a good life and a successful career—and risked everything to send a warning in a moment of grave consequence.
At her core, she is a teacher. And through her courage, she forced the country to reckon with an issue that has too often been ignored and kept in the dark.
Conservatives were appalled by Harris’s essay.
Sexual assault is a serious issue.
But phony claims like the one put forth by Christine Blasey Ford only do more damage by encouraging more suspicious allegations—as was evidenced by the fact that two more women stepped forward with what many Americans determined were hoax allegations against Kavanaugh.
This hurts women who are legitimate victims of sexual assault.
High profile “victims” who turn out to be frauds only lead Americans to doubt the women who actually have been preyed upon by men.
In addition, Harris’s attempt to claim Blasey Ford’s accusation was credible continues the smear campaign against Kavanaugh.
The left already dragged his reputation through the mud last fall.
Even though many Americans disagree with him politically, they still believe that it is unfair to repeatedly cause his wife and children humiliation and suffering by airing these false claims—especially since the FBI found no evidence corroborating any of the allegations.
But it’s unlikely the left will give up their Kavanaugh obsession any time soon.
Activists are still holding out hope that the new Congress will investigate Kavanaugh for perjury surrounding his testimony about his teenage drinking.
And Harris has incentive to keep this story alive.
She entered the Presidential race with much fanfare.
But her polling and fundraising has plateaued as other candidates jump in the race.
Resurrecting the Kavanaugh fight could be her way of trying to remind Democrat voters why they flocked to her in the first place.
