Chuck Schumer got some bad news.
The crisis he was hoping never to have to answer for is now out in the open.
Chuck Schumer never wanted the video of this domestic violence scandal to leak.
Voters in Georgia will decide control of the United States Senate on January 5 in two runoff elections.
Republican Senators Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue face Democrat challengers Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock.
If Democrats sweep both races and Joe Biden becomes President then Vice President Kamala Harris can cast a 51st tie breaking vote on key issues and make Chuck Schumer the effective majority leader in the Senate.
There are few polls available for the Georgia runoff, but those that are out in public show a tight race within the margin of error.
Should Republicans win just one of these races then the GOP will retain its Senate Majority which slams the breaks on Joe Biden’s socialist agenda if he becomes President on January 20.
Democrats now have a major problem on their hands as video footage of police responding to a domestic violence call made by Warnock’s ex-wife Ouleye Ndoye last March is now public.
On the body cam footage Ndoye claims Warnock ran over her foot with the car following an argument.
A local CBS reporter tried to ask Warnock about the allegations regarding abuse of his ex-wife, but Warnock dodged the question.
“I’m going to stay focused on my family, which includes their mother, and I’m going to stay focused on the people of Georgia who during a pandemic are still waiting on relief all these months later while politicians including Kelly Loeffler are busy playing games,” Warnock responded.
Warnock is running away from questions about this scandal because the tape contains even more damaging allegations from Ndoye who hints that Warnock’s alleged abuse may not just be a one-off incident.
“This man is running for the United States Senate, and all he cares about right now is his reputation,” Ndoye is seen telling the police.
“I’ve tried to keep the way he acts under wraps for a long time, & today he crossed the line… He is a great actor. He is phenomenal at putting on a really good show,” Ndoye added.
Republican Senator Kelly Loeffler expressed alarm at the allegations facing her Democrat challenger.
“Domestic abuse is a serious issue that Georgians deserve answers to as to what exactly happened. Unfortunately, it follows a pattern of what we’ve seen that Raphael Warnock has not answered the hard questions in this campaign,” a statement from Loeffler’s campaign read.
These allegations will dominate the final week of the campaign.
That could prove fatal for Warnock’s bid as well as Chuck Schumer’s hopes of wielding power in the Senate next year.
