After Donald Trump won the 2016 election, fake news CNN declared war on the Trump administration.
But fake news CNN had no idea what they were in for.
That became clear when CNN asked Donald Trump this one question. Trump’s response just changed everything.
During a press conference in India, the poster child for fake news CNN White House “correspondent” Jim Acosta attacked Donald Trump for a false story that appeared in the so-called “mainstream” media that inaccurately claimed election security expert Shelby Pierson briefed the House Intelligence Committee on Russia attempting to meddle in the 2020 election to help re-elect Donald Trump.
This story was utter garbage as it later came out that Pierson “mischaracterized” the intelligence.
Acosta ignored this truth to bait the President into a debate.
“Can you pledge to the American people that you will not accept any foreign assistance in the upcoming election?” Acosta asked the President.
President Trump never passes up an opportunity to mix it up with the opposition party media.
Trump brushed off Acosta’s “gotcha” question by rejecting any efforts by a foreign country to interfere in the 2020 election.
With that set-up out of the way, Trump honed in on the fake news story about Russia working to help his re-election campaign that CNN and other so-called “mainstream” media outlets irresponsibly ran.
“First of all, I want no help from any country,” Trump added, “and I haven’t been given help from any country and if you see what CNN, your wonderful network, said, I guess they apologized in a way for — didn’t they apologize for the fact that they said certain things that weren’t true? Tell me, what was their apology yesterday? What did they say?”
At this point Acosta couldn’t help himself.
That’s because CNN hired Acosta for a very specific role – and it is not to inform the public.
Acosta’s job is to generate confrontation that fake news CNN can turn into viral videos to generate clicks.
In this regard, Acosta performed his job flawlessly by rudely responding that Trump was a liar and fake news CNN somehow has a better reputation for telling the truth.
“Mr. President,” Acosta fought back, “I think our record on delivering the truth is a lot better than yours sometimes if you don’t mind me saying.”
After three years of fake news and partisan smears against the President, fair-minded Americans could only admire Acosta’s ability to keep a straight face when telling such a bad joke as claiming fake news CNN is honest.
President Trump was not about to let that batting practice speed pitch pass by without taking a swing.
“Let me tell you about your record, your record is so bad you ought to be ashamed of yourself,” Trump shot back at Acosta. “You have the worst record in the history of broadcasting.”
