Joe Biden attacked Republicans with an astonishing claim about children.
It’s completely wild what lies Biden is willing to say in public.
Ron DeSantis destroyed Joe Biden’s accusation of sin with a single statement.
President Joe Biden claimed it was “close to sinful” for states to block minors’ access to “gender-affirming care,” while recording an interview with guest host Kal Penn for last Monday’s episode of “The Daily Show” on Comedy Central.
Biden added in the interview that the issue of “gender-affirming care” was complicated and “harder” with children, but still rebelled against states putting restrictions in place.
“Transgender kids is really a harder thing,” he told Penn in a clip that was leaked ahead of the Monday broadcast. “What’s going on in Florida is, as my mother would say, close to sinful.”
“It’s terrible what they’re doing. It’s not like a kid wakes up one morning and says, ‘You know, I decided I want to become a man’ or ‘I want to become a woman’ or ‘I want to change,’” Biden continued. “What are they thinking about here? They are human beings. They love. They have feelings. They have inclinations that are. … It just, to me, is, I don’t know is, it’s cruel.”
Biden said the federal government should step in and “make sure we pass legislation like we passed with same-sex marriage. You mess with that, you’re breaking the law and you’re going to be held accountable.”
Florida Republican Governor Ron DeSantis blasted Biden for his words.
“It is not ‘sinful’ to prohibit the mutilation of minors,” DeSantis said. “It is not acceptable for the federal government to mandate that procedures like sex change operations be allowed for kids.”
“Gender-affirming care” is a euphemism the left uses to call the barbaric treatments that sterilizes children, causes blood clots, cancer, sexual dysfunction and leaves them with permanent scars both physically and emotionally.
Dr. Susan Bradley, a Canadian psychiatrist and pioneer in child gender dysphoria treatment, admitted that she had been wrong about puberty blockers.
“We were wrong,” she said to the Daily Caller on Saturday. “They’re not as reversible as we always thought, and they have longer term effects on kids’ growth and development, including making them sterile and quite a number of things affecting their bone growth.”
“We thought that it was relatively safe, and endocrinologists said they’re reversible, and that we didn’t have to worry about it. I had this skepticism in the back of my mind all the time that maybe we were actually colluding and not helping them. And I think that’s proven correct in that, once these kids get started at any age on puberty blockers, nearly all of them continue to want to go to cross sex hormones,” Bradley said.
