RINO Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell us once again facing Donald Trump’s wrath.
McConnell is once again trying to pick a fight with Trump.
Now Donald Trump asked one question that is the final nail in the coffin for Mitch McConnell.
Donald Trump slammed Mitch McConnell for McConnell’s comments trashing Republican Senate candidates in key races as of poor quality and for predicting Democrats may grow their Senate majority.
In post on Truth Social Trump asked why Senate Republicans continued to support McConnell for leadership when McConnell was openly helping Democrats win the midterm election.
Trump declared that instead of repeating Democrat Party talking points McConnell should actually try and help Republicans win the election.
“Why do Republicans Senators allow a broken down hack politician, Mitch McConnell, to openly disparage hard working Republican candidates for the United States Senate. This is such an affront to honor and to leadership. He should spend more time (and money!) helping them get elected, and less time helping his crazy wife and family get rich on China!” Trump wrote.
Trump’s broadside came after McConnell publicly attacked the candidates that Trump endorsed who are now facing Democrats in Senate races that will determine which party controls the upper chamber.
“I think there’s probably a greater likelihood the House flips than the Senate. Senate races are just different — they’re statewide, candidate quality has a lot to do with the outcome,” McConnell said in a press conference.
McConnell even went so far as to predict Democrat victory in the fall.
“Right now, we have a 50-50 Senate and a 50-50 country, but I think when all is said and done this fall, we’re likely to have an extremely close Senate, either our side up slightly or their side up slightly,” McConnell continued.
McConnell hates Donald Trump.
McConnell would also very much like to see the Mitt Romney/Liz Cheney wing of the GOP take back power from Donald Trump and his conservative populist supporters.
And to achieve that goal Trump and other conservatives believe McConnell is trying to tank the midterm election so McConnell can then blame the defeat on Donald Trump’s candidates when in reality it’s McConnell’s fault Democrats have momentum.
It was Mitch McConnell that spearheaded the strategy of surrender on gun control, corporate welfare bailouts and socialist spending that allowed Joe Biden and the Democrats to rack up a series of legislative wins this summer.
Biden pushing his agenda on confiscating guns, raising taxes, and imposing socialism on America via the Green New Deal rallied Democrat voters and boosted the left’s enthusiasm to vote in the midterm election.
McConnell thought by caving in to Democrats on grabbing guns and spending hundreds of billions of dollars on bailouts Republican candidates could appeal to suburban voters.
Instead, McConnell alienated conservatives and revived Democrat electoral fortunes.
And now McConnell wants to distract from his own failure by blaming Donald Trump’s endorsed candidates for any potential failure by the GOP to win back the majority in the U.S. Senate.
