Donald Trump has said his biggest opponent in the 2020 election is the fake news media.
It’s even worse than anyone thought.
And Donald Trump just hit Fox News with one charge that no one could believe.
President Trump spoke at a campaign event in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
During the event the President blasted Fox News for becoming “fake news.”
“Look at all of that fake news, it’s unbelievable,” Trump told the crowd of supporters in attendance. “Unfortunately Fox has become fake news too. I don’t know what happens. Do you agree?”
President Trump called out Fox News for their polls which consistently showed him seven to twelve points behind Joe Biden.
In a surprising move, the President defended fake news CNN because their latest poll showed him gaining ten points on Joe Biden and only trailing Biden by four points.
“Frankly, the pollster is much better than Fox,” Trump added. “Fox has never gotten it right. I don’t know who he is, but he has not had a clue in about seven years.”
Trump then told the crowd that his own polls showed the race even closer than the CNN poll.
“Don’t believe it. We are way beyond the margin of error,” the President continued. “Don’t believe it.”
Trump’s attack on Fox News came after the President sent a tweet claiming Fox News Channel’s weekend coverage was more biased against him than even the programming on fake news CNN.
The President also urged viewers to switch to One America News Network, a news channel that pitches itself as the conservative competitor to Fox news.
The President’s criticism of Fox News extend back to the impeachment hoax when hosts like Chris Wallace and Shep Smith provided biased coverage that amplified Democrat talking points.
Senior legal analyst Andrew Napolitano went even further and said the President committed high crimes and misdemeanors and should be removed from office.
The President’s attacks on Fox News also serve the network’s purposes.
Liberal media critics – especially those at fake news CNN whose full-time job is monitoring Fox 24 hours a day and complaining about everything – regularly bash Fox News Channel as “state TV.”
Fake news “reporters” at CNN and other outlets hurl this allegation at Fox with a straight face despite the fact that the Democrat Party owns and operates the media and CNN and others served as the palace guard for eight years during the Obama administration.
But by attacking Fox the President allows Fox to assert that they are not an appendage of the Trump administration.
