Donald Trump and Joe Biden are eying a 2024 rematch.
Trump won the upper hand on a key issue.
And that’s because Donald Trump just forced Joe Biden to do one thing he did not want to.
A train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio spilled contaminating the soil and water with dangerous chemicals such as ethylene glycol monobutyl ether, ethylhexyl acrylate, and isobutylene.
Ohio Governor Mike DeWine and Pennsylvania Democrat Governor Josh Shapiro agreed to a controlled burn of the spill that created a miles-wide toxic cloud that threatened the lives of residents nearby.
The Biden administration simply did not care since the surrounding counties voted 70 percent for Donald Trump.
Since the residents of East Palestine were not members of a favored constituency of the Democrat Party Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg ignored the ecological disaster some compared to the Chernobyl meltdown for nearly two weeks and instead complained about the number of white people who worked construction.
And the Biden administration denied FEMA resources by refusing to label the toxic spill a national disaster.
“The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) said that Ohio is not eligible to receive assistance because the incident did not classify as a national disaster,” DeWine’s press secretary Dan Tierney told the Daily Cller. The rejection came nearly two weeks after a Norfolk Southern train, which carried harmful chemicals, derailed and nearly 2,000 residents were evacuated before a controlled release of the fumes cast a large plum over the town,” the Daily Caller reported.
Even Democrats grew annoyed as California Democrat Ro Khanna admitted Buttigieg and Biden were slow on the uptake and failed federal response was another reason why working-class Americans thought the government and elite institutions abandoned them,
“I do think that’s a disaster. Look, these are working-class folks, they’ve been abandoned by the country with NAFTA, with the World Trade Organization admission of China. Now, they’ve got poison in their air, in their water. I don’t think it’s gotten enough media attention. I think we should have administration officials there — the Department of Transportation and others — to do town halls, to answer questions. They need to be far more assertive. It’s awful what’s going on. And I don’t think we’ve done enough for people there,” Khanna told Fox News.
Donald Trump forced Joe Biden’s hand by announcing he would visit East Palestine.
A source familiar confirms to Fox News that former President Trump will visit East Palestine, OH on Wednesday to tour the damage of the Norfolk Southern derailment and cleanup efforts.

Shortly after Trump announced his visit FEMA sprang into action and began supplying the people of East Palestine with much needed aid.
“FEMA will supplement federal efforts by deploying a Senior Response Official along with a Regional Incident Management Assistance Team to support ongoing operations, including incident coordination and ongoing assessments of potential long-term recovery needs,” a joint statement from Governor DeWine and FEMA Regional Administrator Thomas C. Sivak read.
In 2016 Donald Trump won on the back of a message about looking out for the forgotten men and women of America.
Joe Biden and Pete Buttigieg clearly forgot about the people of East Palestine.
And this could become a campaign issue next year.
