America is paying a high price economically for Dr. Fauci’s medical errors.
It will be hard to undo the damage that’s been caused.
Dr. Fauci just admitted to a jaw dropping mistake in his coronavirus numbers.
There’s no way to undo the past but going forward America needs to start relying on different methods to keep coronavirus under control.
When the stay-at-home order went into effect there wasn’t good medical data on the novel coronavirus that started in Wuhan, China.
Testing failed to reveal the death rate of the virus because not everyone with coronavirus symptoms is tested.
Governors can be forgiven for issuing stay-at-home orders in March when there was no information.
Medical experts were estimating that the coronavirus had between a 1%-3% mortality rate and experts were afraid that this might be a repeat of the Spanish Flu but there is no such danger now.
The real problem is that instead of lowering restrictions as evidence has emerged many Democrats are continuing with their restrictions.
Virginia’s Gov. Ralph Northam, a Democrat, made face masks mandatory in public just last Friday.
Dr. Fauci says he wears a mask to protect other people even though in March he said that only healthcare officials should be wearing masks.
Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy questioned whether America should be trusting Fauci when his position so drastically changed.
“I don’t mean to pile on Fauci, but we’re making very important decisions based on what he’s saying, and I think it’s OK to say, ‘I really don’t know guys,'” Portnoy said on Tucker Carlson Tonight. “But I get the feeling that if you ask him this question or what’s one plus one equal, you’re going to get seven different answers. It’s OK to say you don’t know.”
The medical experts should be telling America the good news. That the death rate is far lower than any of the numbers they predicted.
The CDC lowered its fatality rate to just 0.26% which is not as low as the flu, that’s a significant drop in the estimate.
“The CDC data is consistent with other assessments. ‘By now, multiple studies from Europe, Japan, and the U.S. all suggest that the overall fatality rate is far lower than early estimates, perhaps below 0.1 to 0.4%, i.e., ten to forty times lower than estimates that motivated extreme isolation,’ Dr. Scott Atlas, a senior fellow at Stanford University’s Hoover Institution, told lawmakers in early May, referring to the infection rate.” Breitbart reported.
It’s hard for researchers to precisely know what percent of coronavirus infections are asymptomatic but the CDC was guessing that it was approximately 35%.
If the percentage of asymptomatic cases is even higher that would mean the death rate is even lower than the CDC’s estimation.
It’s really shocking that Dr. Fauci is still continuing with his message of doom and gloom and many Democratic Governors are saying that their tyrannical lockdowns are what kept their numbers low.
The coronavirus spreads fast and is still a medical worry but there’s no reason to keep the economy shut down and deprive people of their livelihoods.
