Jen Psaki had another rough briefing.
The White House press secretary once again fell apart under pressure.
And Fox News backed Jen Psaki into a corner with two words Joe Biden spoke.
Joe Biden and the Democrats were in dire straits.
Gas shortages crippled the Southeast after the Biden administration completely missed the Russian hackers shutting down the Colonial Pipeline.
Inflation drained the purchasing power of Americans paychecks.
The border is overrun by illegal aliens as the administration refuses to take any steps to solve the crisis.
A dismal jobs report that missed by three quarter of a million jobs showed Biden’s enhanced unemployment paid Americans more money to stay home than go to work.
Biden also destroyed the peace in the Middle East that Donald Trump cultivated by sending hundreds of millions of dollars to the Palestinians which emboldened Hamas terrorists to attack Israel.
Biden needed a distraction so the Centers for Disease Control released new guidelines that ended the pandemic stating that vaccinated Americans no longer needed to wear masks in doors or social distance.
States raced to drop their mask mandates and end their lockdowns.
At the White House press briefing Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy grilled Psaki about comments Biden made two months ago accusing Texas of “Neanderthal thinking” for not following Joe Biden’s religious devotion to the paranoia of mask wearing.
“Does the President still think that these red state governors, who were a little bit ahead of the federal government, lifting the mask mandates, had Neanderthal thinking?” Doocy asked Psaki.
When Texas lifted its mask mandate in early March, the state registered over 5,000 cases per day.
Two months later the disaster that Joe Biden and the buffoonish Dr. Fauci predicted never materialized as cases declined to just over 2,000 per day and the trend continues downward.
Amazingly, Psaki tried to walk the administration away from the reality that by the CDC issuing these new guidelines Joe Biden declared the public health emergency over.
“I would say that even with this guidance that’s out there, the guidance is not telling states and localities exactly how they should implement,” Psaki added. “As you know, there are some localities and states in the country that have higher rates of vaccination than others, some communities that have higher rates of vaccination than others. And we even know as this is being implemented that different localities, businesses will implement it in a way that they feel will help ensure their community is safe.”
Psaki doubled down on the attempt to gaslight the American people claiming that the administration issued these guidelines out of science and not the political desperation facing the Biden administration as their failures piled up at home and abroad.
“But I know I am reassured by listening to the guidance of health and medical experts, not political decision making.” Psaki added.
The science was the same two months ago as it was when the Biden administration issued these new guidelines.
The only difference was the political environment deteriorating around Joe Biden and the Democrats.
