Dr. Anthony Fauci tried to make it seem like he wasn’t retiring out of fear of the prospect of Congressional Republicans investigating his role in the origin of the COVID19 pandemic.
Fauci does not want anyone poking around or finding out the truth.
And Fox News has Dr. Fauci in panic mode after one question forced a major confession.
In typical Fauci fashion Dr. Fauci exploited his retirement announcement to get himself on TV as much as possible.
If there is one thing Fauci loves more than issuing mandates to manage the way Americans live their lives it is seeing himself on television.
Most of Fauci’s interviews were friendly chats where obedient leftwing activists on CNN and MSNBC never held Fauci to account for his disastrous lockdown and mask mandate regime that stole Americans freedom while doing nothing to slow the spread of the virus.
Fox News Channel’s anti-Trump anchor Neil Cavuto did ask Fauci one tough question.
Cavuto grilled Fauci about the harm locking down businesses and closing schools inflicted upon society and if Fauci regretted making Americans lives worse with these tyrannical orders.
Fauci then tried to gaslight Fox News viewers claiming he never supported shutdowns and there never were any shutdowns.
“No, I don’t, Neil. And in fact, I think we need to make sure that your listeners understand, I didn’t shut down anything. There was a lot of consideration among the White House task force that we were reaching a point where the hospitals such as in New York City and other places were being strained to the point of practically being overwhelmed. And when Dr. Birx and I came with the proposal that we take 15 days to essentially get to the point where we slow, if not shut some things down, not completely. The record will show that we didn’t shut things down. We wanted to cause a pause, if you’ll remember the terminology, to flatten the curve,” Fauci stated.
But back in March 2020 Fauci expressly stated his support for a 14 day national lockdown.
Dr. Fauci would prefer a 14-day national shutdown of some sort to slow down coronavirus, and has made this point of view known in admin, he says on “Meet the Press.”
“I think we should really be overly aggressive and get criticized for over-reacting,” Fauci told @chucktodd.

Fauci repeated that claim and even said it was a mistake not doing a national lockdown.
It’s not surprising Fauci wants to disavow lockdowns.
Closing schools harmed children and set back their educational and social development.
Locking down the economy killed businesses and distorted the supply chains.
And there was never any science to support a lockdown in the first place.
But some day soon Dr. Fauci will have to answer for this tragedy.
