Donald Trump is being attacked from all sides.
RINOs and Never Trumpers are coming out of the woodwork to stab him in the back.
Now one Fox News host embarrassed himself with one Trump interview.
Fox News is one of the few outlets where Donald Trump can get a fair shake, but even that network can slide into anti-Trump bias.
There are more liberals working at Fox News than conservatives working at CNN or MSNBC or many so-called mainstream media outlets.
Recently, Fox News anchor Chris Wallace conducted a hardball interview with Trump that had liberals cheering.
Hardball interviews are not a problem for Trump, but the double standard in treatment for him and Joe Biden is why the corporate press is so corrupt, and Wallace fed into that double standard.
During the interview Trump said, “Let [Biden] come out of his basement, go around—I’ll make four or five speeches a day, I’ll be interviewed by you, I’ll be interviewed by the worst killers that hate my guts. They hate my guts. There’s nothing they can ask me that I won’t give them a proper answer to.”
Even Wallace acknowledged that fact and said, “I agree with that. You answer the questions.”
Meanwhile, when Wallace had Biden on his show when the Democratic primary was still crowded, the interview was less hardball and more underhand soft toss.
Wallace asked, “Should all of the centrists get together? You have a pretty clogged lane. There’s you, there’s Bloomberg, there’s Buttigieg, there’s Klobuchar.”
Biden balked at being called a moderate and said, “I have a very, very progressive record.”
So Wallace was doing the work of softening the edges for Biden.
Wallace could’ve followed up and asked Biden if he supported far-left ideas, but he didn’t.
Wallace ended the friendly exchange by joking, “Please come back in less than 13 years, sir.”
But Wallace had the knives out for Trump and focused on petty trifles like Trump acing a cognitive function test while American cities are on fire thanks to Democratic governance.
Wallace got called out by Trump on coronavirus statistics.
He said the United States had the seventh worst mortality rate in the world, which was not accurate.
The United States is ahead of several countries in Western Europe.
America is also testing far more than any other country, and several states have been caught tabulating unrelated deaths simply because the patient tested positive for the coronavirus.
For example, Washington State included gunshot victims in their COVID deaths.
There are many countries that simply aren’t testing, or they’re making up numbers like China.
Wallace also ran interference for Biden when Trump said he wants to defund the police.
Biden has said funds should be moved away from policing, which means Trump’s statement was accurate.
However, the left always weasels out of these labels by changing the definition of words.
There’s nothing wrong with asking tough questions, but Biden hasn’t seen any inside fastballs.
The last time Biden got asked a difficult question, it was from a primary voter, and Biden challenged him to a fist fight.
Wallace has also joined the left in dogpiling on press secretary Kayleigh McEnany because she’s willing to push back against the corrupt media.
Fox News is still one of the only games in town for conservatives on television, but if Rupert Murdoch’s liberal son ever gets hold of the network, it could be another version of CNN.
