Americans are beginning to tune into the Presidential Election.
The pandemic, economic collapse and anti-police riots crowded that story into the background.
But now the picture is coming into focus and one Fox News Host stunned viewers into silence with this prediction about Trump’s 2020 chances.
“Fox News Sunday” host Chris Wallace is the network’s link to the Washington establishment.
Wallace can always be counted on to copy the anti-Trump narrative that runs through the rest of the fake news media.
In an appearance on ABC’s left-wing talk show “The View”, Wallace thrilled the show’s liberal audience by sticking to the script.
Host Sunny Hostin asked Wallace if President Trump struck the right “tone” this past week by proclaiming that he was the law and order President and reigniting his feud with the NFL over anti-American players kneeling during the national anthem.
Wallace avoided discussing his thoughts on if Trump’s political posturing was right and instead zeroed in on blasting Trump for not sticking to the script that the liberal media wanted him to and condemn America as an evil and racist country.
But Wallace did stay on message by declaring last week “a very bad week” for Donald Trump’s re-election bid.
“I’m not going to talk about it in terms of right or wrong. The president has his base. He has his beliefs. He’s entitled to them. Let me talk about it in terms of politics. I would say that the last week was a very bad week for the president in terms of politics, in terms of his potential re-election prospects,” Wallace responded.
The “Fox News Sunday” host told “The View’s” left-wing audience exactly what it wanted to hear – that last week was a political train wreck for the President.
As evidence, Wallace ticked off a number of swamp aligned former military commanders that essentially staged a coup against Trump by speaking out in hopes of getting him removed from office.
“When you’re getting called out by the Episcopal Bishop of Washington and the Arch Bishop of the Catholic Church of Washington, when you’re getting called out by everybody from Jim Mattis, to former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs Mike Mullen, and even your own current Secretary of Defense Mike Esper breaks with you, that’s not a good week,” Wallace added.
Even Wallace could not dismiss the unquestionable good news that the economy added 2.5 million jobs and appeared to be roaring to life much faster than all the so-called “experts” predicted.
But Wallace was sure to note that the polls still turned against the President.
“He had some good news on the economy. There’s a new poll in The Washington Post that indicates by a two to one margin people don’t think the president has handled the last week properly. His approval ratings have dropped. You can argue as to whether he’s right or wrong, but politically it’s been a bad week,” Wallace concluded.
Last week the left threw everything it had against Trump.
In the middle of the pandemic the left launched coordinated riots across the country to stoke racial strife and cause chaos.
None of this was Donald Trump’s fault.
But to the Washington swamp it was an unqualified success because of the damage these crises inflicted on Trump’s poll numbers.
