Fox News is once again at the center of controversy.
The network is under attack for a decision made at the highest levels of the corporation.
Fox News just banned one video that you won’t believe.
Fox News Channel refused to run an ad from the leftwing political action committee MeidasTouch attacking Republicans over the events of January 6.
MeidasTouch co-founder Ben Meiselas blasted Fox News and smeared the network as a “fascists echo chamber.”
“We couldn’t have fathomed in our wildest imaginations that even a Fox News would reject an ad that simply condemns the insurrection, and condemns people who support the insurrection,” Meiselas told the Los Angeles Times. “What Fox has really become is a fascist echo chamber gatekeeper for their base.”
MeidasTouch’s ad featured footage of rioters on January 6 fighting with police officers and the police officers discussing the episode in TV interviews.
“The commercial features law-enforcement officers testifying in Congress and speaking to the media about their experiences during the insurrection, including getting sprayed with bear mace, engaging in hand-to-hand combat and being called “traitors.”” the Los Angeles Times reported.
The commercials concluded with images of Congressional Republicans as well as text that read “The GOP Betrayed America. We Will Never Forget.”
The left would very much like Americans focusing on January 6 next year.
Some Democrats worry that with the crisis at the border and the economy not recovering as quickly as expected that branding the GOP as the party of insurrection and sedition is their best chance to hang on to power.
Historically the President’s party loses over 20 seats on average in the House of Representatives.
Even a bad election cycle by historical standards for the Republicans would still be enough to oust the Democrat majority.
That’s because Democrats hold their narrowest majority since World War 2.
Republicans only need to flip five seats in the House to win back the majority.
Political parties always say their candidates will talk to all voters about the issues they care about.
But what message parties, outside groups and campaigns spend money advertising on is the true barometer of what they think will sway Americans to their side.
In this case, it’s clear the left believe keeping the public’s attention focused on January 6 is their best chance to defy history and hang on to both houses of Congress.
The corporate media’s amplified this scheme by relentlessly focusing on the events of that day as well as the Democrats’ attempt to ram legislation through Congress that would create an independent commission to investigate what happened on that day.
Republicans filibustered the bill in the Senate after Minority Leader Mitch McConnell pointed out the true purpose of the commission was to serve as a political tool of the Democrat Party.
Fox News would not be the first cable channel to ban a political ad.
CNN refused to run ads from the Trump campaign during the 2018 midterm election claiming the ad was racist for showcasing illegal aliens that committed crimes.
