Joe Biden is trying to put Donald Trump in jail.
Biden and the Democrats will do anything to prevent Donald Trump from running for re-election in 2024.
Fox News just double-crossed Trump by doing Joe Biden this huge favor.
Former Attorney General William Barr suddenly turned into a regular presence on Fox News.
Barr – who the media spent two years smearing as a Trump toady after Barr spoke critically of the Russia collusion hoax – is now celebrated as a brave truth teller.
That’s because Barr is one of the many establishment Republicans trying to sway GOP voters to ditch Trump.
In his latest interview Barr declared Biden’s Justice Department would indict Trump at any moment over the document storage dispute at Mar-a-Lago.
“As I’ve said all along, there are two questions. Will the government be able to make out a technical case? Will they have evidence by which that they could indict somebody on, including him? That’s the first question, and I think they are getting very close to that point, frankly,” Barr stated.
Barr then explained that indicting Trump would induce great trauma on the country.
“At the end of the day, there is another question. Do you indict a former president? What will that do to the country? What kind of precedent will it set? Will the people really understand that this is not failing to return a library book? That this was serious?” Barr continued.
Barr then claimed that – in his view – Trump was clearly guilty but Biden should not indict Trump.
“You have to worry about those things, and I hope that those kinds of factors will incline the administration not to indict him because I don’t want to see him indicted. He’s a former president. But I also think they will be under a lot of pressure to indict him because look, if anyone else would’ve gotten indicted, why not indict him?” Barr added.
The subtext of Barr’s comments was clear.
Barr wants GOP voters who watch Fox News to think Trump is a criminal and that nominating Trump again will bring more of the same drama as Trump’s first term in office.
But what Barr neglected to say was this latest witch hunt featured many of the same tactics of the Russian collusion hoax.
Biden allies in the deep state spoon fed misleading leaks to sycophantic reporters at big brand name outlets that led to screaming headlines that soon collapsed.
The Washington Post’s initial claim that Trump kept the United States nuclear secrets as Mar-a-Lago quickly evaporated.
But then the Post followed up with a carefully written story to imply that Trump possessed classified documents about a foreign country’s nuclear forces without actually saying that.
Note in the lead to the story the Post never says the document about another country’s nuclear forces is classified, but instead uses a sleight of hand at the end of the paragraph to leave in the reader’s mind that the nuclear weapons document was classified.
“A document describing a foreign government’s military defenses, including its nuclear capabilities, was found by FBI agents who searched former president Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence and private club last month, according to people familiar with the matter, underscoring concerns among U.S. intelligence officials about classified material stashed in the Florida property,” the Washington Post reported.
And if this document was classified at the highest levels then whoever leaked it to the Post committed a felony.
Barr – and the people who run Fox News – know full well the playbook these Deep State leakers are running.
And Barr and Fox News executives know this smear campaign by leak is how the FBI tried to frame Trump for colluding with Russia.
But since Barr, the top of Fox News and the Biden administration all share the same goal of getting rid of Trump Barr will go on Fox News and play dumb in the hopes of convincing Republican voters to expunge Trump from the party.
