Fox News Channel once branded itself as the “fair and balanced” network.
Many Trump supporters are wondering what is going on at the network.
And that’s because Fox News stunned a key Republican with this ugly ambush attempt.
RINO Republicans are in the process of surrendering to gun grabbing Democrats on one of the biggest gun grabs in American history.
The gun control bill RINOs and anti-gun Democrats support includes red flag confiscation laws which allows judges to order the government to kick in doors and seize firearms with no due process and no evidence.
Democrats could use red flag confiscation laws to label conservatives as dangers to the public if they publicly question the coronavirus vaccine, the results of the 2020 election, or oppose gun control.
Gun grabbers are also seeking to close the so-called “boyfriend loophole” which will allow government to ban and confiscate firearms from anyone who got into a fight with a girlfriend decades ago or experienced an ugly breakup.
Utah Senator Mike Lee opposed this gun grab.
But in an interview of “Fox News Sunday” host Shannon Bream badgered Lee about Lee supposedly betraying his voters by opposing what Bream called popular gun grabs.
Bream ticked off a bunch of gun control measures such as a so-called “assault weapons ban,” a national gun registration database, and raising the minimum age to 21 from 18 for rifles falsely claiming there was a massive groundswell of support across the country for banning and confiscating firearms.
“There is a lot of momentum, at least among the public sphere, for doing this,” Bream told Lee. “Are you out of step with your constituents?”
Lee countered that it was important to defend the Constitution telling Bream “what’s important is that we look out for the rights of constituents.”
Senator Lee also knocked down Bream citing flawed and biased issue polling that overstated the support for gun control.
Finally, Senator Lee knocked down Bream’s cheerleading for gun control by telling the Fox News host that the text of the bill would show that gun grabbers are looking to disarm law abiding citizens.
“It’s the job of the lawmaker to look at for the interest and the rights of the law-abiding citizens they represent. Each of those provisions — I understand how they can get high popularity readings when they don’t define them. For example, you talk about banning assault weapons. There is no universal definition of what an assault weapon is. Very often, the true distinction really depends on whether the stock pieces of the gun are made with wood, or of plastic, or of composite. So that text does matter here, because it is that text that will determine whether we are intruding unduly on the rights of the American law-abiding citizen, in doing so in a way that would actually deter violent criminal behavior,” Senator Lee concluded.
Rupert Murdoch founded Fox News Channel in 1996 to offer an alternative to the tens of millions of Americans frustrated with the liberal bias of the corporate media.
Other than abortion gun control is the one issue where the corporate media is 100 percent invested in the outcome in that members of the press root for the gun grabbers to achieve their goal of banning and confiscating every firearm in America.
Fox News is supposed to counter that pro-Democrat Party cheerleading.
But in the case of gun control Shannon Bream was reading from the Democrat Party script.
