Ilhan Omar found herself at the center of controversy in American politics once again.
The Minnesota Democrat is most at home at the eye of a political hurricane.
But things may shake out differently this time because Ilhan Omar confessed to this stunning act of treason.
Ilhan Omar rode a triumphant wave of fake news media adoration and coverage in the wake of her feud with Donald Trump.
Trump blasted Omar and her allies for their racism and hatred of America.
It culminated with Trump supporters mocking Omar with a “send her back” chant at a North Carolina rally.
Omar and her allies in the fake news media seized on that chant – as well as the President’s factually accurate attacks – to falsely claim the President and his supporters were racist.
But whatever moral high ground Omar and her handmaidens in the so-called “mainstream” media thought the Congresswoman occupied crumbled beneath her feet.
Returning to Congress, Omar immediately proved that she was a racist, anti-Semitic, America-hater.
Omar introduced a resolution in support of the anti-Semitic Boycott, Divest and Sanction (BDS) movement that seeks to cripple Israel financially so the Palestinians can seize their land.
Omar half-heartedly slapped Islamic terrorist groups like Hamas on the wrist while endorsing financial terrorism against America’s strongest ally in the Middle East.
“We should condemn in the strongest terms violence that perpetuates the occupation whether it is perpetuated either by Israel, Hamas, or individuals,” Omar ranted during a Congressional hearing. “But if we are going to condemn violent means of resisting the occupation, we cannot also condemn non-violent means. We cannot simultaneously say we want peace then openly oppose peaceful means to hold our allies accountable.”
But that was not all.
Omar compared the Islamic radicals and their movement to bring down Israel with the colonial patriots that launched the Boston Tea Party.
“It recognizes the proud history of boycott movements in this country dating back to the Boston Tea Party. We should honor these movements and that history,” she continued.
Jewish Republican Congressman Lee Zeldin of New York was appalled.
Zeldin blasted Omar’s bigotry on social media.
“Israel is our best ally in the Mid East; a beacon of hope, freedom & liberty, surrounded by existential threats. Shame on Rep @Ilhan Omar for bringing her hateful twist on that reality to House Foreign today, propping up the BDS movement & blaming Israel for all of its challenges,” Congressman Zeldin tweeted.
After Trump blistered Omar and her allies for their racist and anti-American views, the fake news media produced a series of “fact checks.”
As usual the “fact checks” produced by fake news outlets like CNN and the New York Times were lies conjured up by Democrat Party activists pretending to be “reporters.”
These paid liars falsely claimed that everything President Trump said about Omar and her fellow travelers were lies and exaggerations.
But Omar’s actions proved President Trump’s words were the truth.
