Since getting into office, Ilhan Omar has been caught with ties to terrorism-linked groups.
Despite that, she has remained in office to this day somehow.
But she could end up behind bars because of shocking new terrorist links.
Since getting into office, there have been a lot of concerns raised about Ilhan Omar and links to terrorism.
Most troubling is her close relationship with the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) which has links to terrorist groups, and was an unindicted co-conspirator in the largest terrorist financing trial in U.S. history.
Not only that, but the United Arab Emirates lists them as a terrorist group due to their alleged ties to the Muslim Brotherhood.
Despite all of this, Omar continues to associate with CAIR, and regularly speaks at their events, including at one where she downplayed 9/11 simply as “some people” doing “something.”
Her connection to CAIR isn’t criminal in itself, despite being very concerning.
But a new allegation could very well result in criminal charges if they are found to be true.
Testimony from a Florida court alleges that Omar is a “Qatari asset” who has received funding from them in order to pass sensitive information through intermediaries to Iran.
This allegation came during testimony from Kuwati-born Canadian businessman Alan Bender in the trial of Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad al-Thani, the brother of a Qatari emir who is accused of ordering his American bodyguards to kill two people, along with holding an American citizen hostage.
According to the Jerusalem Post, the deposition was obtained by Al Arabiya English, and authenticated by an attorney for the plaintiffs.
Bender told the court that he learned of this during conversations with Qatar’s Secretary to the Emir for Security Affairs Mohammad bin Ahmed bin Abdullah al-Masnad and two other senior Qatari officials.
During his sworn testimony, he states that the three officials told him, “If it wasn’t for our cash, Ilhan Omar would be just another black Somali refugee in America collecting welfare and serving tables on weekends.”
Bender stated that the officials were trying to get him to recruit American politicians and journalists as Qatari assets.
After objecting, Bender alleges that they claimed that a number of prominent figures are already on their payroll, describing Omar as the “jewel in the crown.”
He goes on to claim that Qatar “recruited Ilhan Omar from even way before she thought about becoming a government official… They groomed her and arranged the foundation, the grounds, for her to get into politics way before she even showed interest. They convinced her.”
A spokesperson for Omar denies the allegations made, stating that “Since the day she was elected, Saudi Arabian trolls and mouthpieces have targeted Omar with misinformation and conspiracy theories.”
Since this news broke, there has been a lot of doubt cast on the reports.
But in a statement to the Jerusalem Post, Bender stands by his allegations, stating “I confirm that the information published in The Jerusalem Post report about Ilhan Omar and Qatar is accurate 100%.”
Even if these allegations turn out to be untrue, Omar has already proven her willingness to associate with terrorist-linked organizations like CAIR.
