The Democrats’ impeachment witch hunt continues to unravel.
Adam Schiff and Nancy Pelosi planned a shock and awe barrage of Deep State loyalists spinning fairy tales about their fantasies of impeachable offenses Donald Trump committed.
But impeachment stopped dead in its tracks when this Democrat crime went public.
When Obama holdover Marie Yovanovitch – who served as Ambassador to Ukraine until President Trump recalled her because Yovanovitch did not support him – testified, Democrats thought they struck gold.
In the middle of Yovanovitch’s nationally televised therapy session where Yovanovitch whined about losing an Ambassadorship she considered her birthright, Donald Trump tweeted that she was a failure that he had every right to fire anytime he wanted.
“Everywhere Marie Yovanovitch went turned bad. She started off in Somalia, how did that go? Then fast forward to Ukraine, where the new Ukrainian President spoke unfavorably about her in my second phone call with him. It is a U.S. President’s absolute right to appoint ambassadors,” the President wrote.
Adam Schiff stopped the hearing to read Trump’s tweet to Yovanovitch so she could recite her lines on cue about being intimidated.
That led to immediate talk of Democrats drafting a new article of impeachment accusing the President of witness intimidation.
That talk quickly shut down.
When European Union Ambassador Gordon Sondland testified, Tax Congressman Mike Conaway quizzed Sondland about Democrat Congressman Earl Blumenauer organizing mobs of left-wing thugs to terrorize Sondland’s business.
“Let’s explore that one. Our own colleague, Congressman Earl Blumenauer from Oregon, has in fact called for a boycott of your hotel chains, or your hotels in Oregon. I’m assuming he believes that that will harm you to the point that you will then be bullied into doing whatever he wants done. Now, my colleagues and I know that using the word “bully” and Earl Blumenauer in the same sentence is a bit over the top. But nevertheless, he intended to harm you and your businesses. Is that what you would surmise?” Conway asked Sondland.
“That’s my understanding,” Sondland responded.
“And I couldn’t agree more, Mr. Ambassador. Mr. Blumenauer should not be using the vast influences that we, as members of Congress, has to bully you and your businesses, and to harm the hundreds or thousands of employees that operate in your business by trying to take business away from you, to force you into doing something that they wanted you to do, which…testify. And you actually have done that. But that’s a shame for that. And I’m hopeful that my colleagues on the other side of the aisle will join me in saying, Mr. Blumenauer, you really shouldn’t be using your congressional influence to try to bully and threaten a witness before these proceedings. That is just wrong,” Conaway added.
The charge of witness tampering against Trump was laughable.
Yovanovitch would never have known about the tweet had Schiff not read it to her.
The case of Blumenauer was clear cut.
Critics contend Blumenauer and other left-wing terrorists hounded Sondland’s businesses before his testimony in the hopes of pressuring him to fabricate testimony against Donald Trump.
And Sondland did deliver testimony that Democrats believe helped their impeachment hoax.
That is the real witness intimidation scandal.
