Iran’s been fighting a war against the United States for over 40 years.
But this time the rogue government in Tehran went too far.
And now Iran fired off one ultimatum to Trump that could be their last mistake ever.
Iran spent the last several months escalating its attacks on the United States and its interests.
President Trump’s economic sanctions pushed Iran’s economy to the breaking point and rather than negotiate, Iran lashed out in a desperate attempt to force Trump to back down.
Iran shot down an American drone, bombed Saudi oil fields and harassed oil tankers passing through the gulf.
But when an Iranian-backed militia murdered a US contractor in a rocket attack and then stormed the US embassy in protest of retaliatory strikes, President Trump showed the days of Barack Obama’s weakness and appeasement were over.
The President ordered a drone strike that took out Iranian General and leader of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards’ Quds Force Qassem Soleimani.
The significance of killing Soleimani cannot be overstated.
Soleimani was the principal military commander, diplomat and strategist in Iran holding a position that was the equivalent of the Vice President, Secretary of State and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff all rolled into one.
Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei raged at the news.
But Khamenei got over his skis in issuing an ultimatum of vengeance against the United States.
“His efforts & path won’t be stopped by his martyrdom, by God’s Power, rather a #SevereRevenge awaits the criminals who have stained their hands with his & the other martyrs’ blood last night. Martyr Soleimani is an Intl figure of Resistance & all such people will seek revenge,” Khamenei wrote.
“The Iranian nation will honor the memory of the noble Major-General Soleimani & the martyrs with him—particularly the great Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis— & I declare 3 days of mourning across the nation. I condole & congratulate his family,” Khamenei concluded.
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani doubled down on the Supreme Leader’s threat.
“Soleimani’s martyr’s death will make Iran more determined in its opposition to U.S. imperialism, and in the protection of Islamic values,” Rouhani menaced. “Without a doubt, Iran and other peace-loving countries in the area will take revenge.”
Iran’s leaders are making a massive mistake.
Donald Trump clearly drew a red line on taking the lives of American citizens and threatening United States’ embassies.
The President made it clear he’s not seeking war or regime change.
But after Barack Obama spent eight years coddling Iran and funding their terror activities by transferring pallets of cash to Tehran, Donald Trump believes you must confront evil.
Iran mistook President Trump’s previous wisdom and restraint in not getting sucked into another Middle Eastern war for weakness.
That was a massive miscalculation that could come back to haunt the Iranian government.
