America’s enemies are lashing out now that they realize the days of Barack Obama’s weakness and appeasement are over.
No country is feeling the pressure of Donald Trump’s pressure campaign quite like Iran.
And Iran issued this awful threat to Donald Trump that could mean World War 3.
Barack Obama handed Donald Trump a crisis with Iran’s nuclear program.
Obama left office with a deal that let Iran acquire a nuclear weapon within ten years.
That’s why President Trump withdrew America from Obama’s disastrous nuclear deal and slapped the rogue government in Tehran with crippling economic sanctions.
As a result, Iran’s economy plunged into a near depression and the Iranian leaders began utilizing the one tool they had to strike back at the President – terrorism.
Iranian forces seized a British tanker.
The Iranians shot down an American drone they falsely claimed strayed into their territory.
Iran stepped up their terrorist activities in the hopes of provoking a wider conflict that would cause oil prices to spike and Western governments to beg President Trump to capitulate to Iran’s demands to reinstate Obama’s dangerous nuclear deal.
When that failed to materialize, Iran’s desperation led to the most dangerous escalation of hostilities yet.
Attacks on Saudi Arabia’s Abqaiq oil processing facility – the nation’s largest production facility – and the Khurais oil field – crippled the kingdom’s oil capabilities as the shut down costs Saudi Arabia 5.7 million barrels of oil per day.
Houthi rebels in Yemen claimed credit for the attack as supposed revenge for Saudi Arabia’s backing a rival faction in that nation’s civil war.
The American government revealed this was a lie.
Secretary of State Mike Pompeo stepped in and declared it was the Iranian government that was responsible for these attacks.
“Tehran is behind nearly 100 attacks on Saudi Arabia while Rouhani and Zarif pretend to engage in diplomacy. Amid all the calls for de-escalation, Iran has now launched an unprecedented attack on the world’s energy supply. There is no evidence the attacks came from Yemen,” Pompeo tweeted.
The Wall Street Journal reported why many intelligence officials were slow to accept the Yemen-based rebels boasts of responsibility for the attacks.
“Even before Mr. Pompeo tweeted, analysts cautioned against accepting the Houthi claim of responsibility at face value. An attack in May on a Saudi oil-pumping station, which Saudi officials initially blamed on the Houthis and Iran, later turned out to have been launched by an Iranian-backed militia in Iraq, according to U.S. officials,” the Journal exclusively reported.
Iran is directly challenging President Trump.
Unlike past Presidents, Donald Trump wants to avoid endless war in the Middle East.
So Iran mistakes this clear-eyed approach for weakness.
Their leaders are poking and prodding in the hopes that Donald Trump’s promise to put America first will lead to him accepting a bad deal rather than risk a disastrous war in the Middle East in the face of rising oil prices resulting from Iran’s acts of terror.
