Democrats are looking at who to blame for Biden’s disastrous presidency.
Top members of the White House are in serious trouble.
Jen Psaki was horrified at this personally disastrous question she was asked.
White House press secretary Jen Psaki will reportedly leave her job this spring and join MSNBC as a pundit and host of her own show on the streaming service Peacock.
She may be looking to depart in order to avoid being blamed for Biden’s increasing unpopularity.
A reporter directly asked Psaki on Monday if she was responsible for Biden’s bad polling numbers.
“When [Biden] came into office last year, he was around 60% and even more, and now he’s around 40% and sometimes less.” Today News Africa correspondent Simon Ateba asked Psaki. “Who does he blame now: Putin, Trump, you — the communication team?”
“Oh, does he blame me? Oh, I don’t know,” Psaki said while laughing. “I hope not.”
“Look, I think that the president recognizes that the country is still grappling with a small number of challenges that impact people and their everyday lives, whether that is a continuing fight with a pandemic that has been going on for several years or the fact that costs are going up. Some of those are a result of the actions of President Putin — yes, as it relates to gas prices — but others are related to impacts of COVID-19 and impacts on the supply chain.”
“So, what our focus is and his focus continues to be: on solutions to address these challenges, and keeping our heads down and trying to continue to deliver for the American people,” she added.
Psaki’s excuses of Biden’s bad polling numbers just don’t work.
Biden campaigned on the promise that he was “not going to shut down the economy,” and would instead “shut down the virus.” He also promised during the campaign he would end Russian President Vladimir Putin’s “days of tyranny” and intimidation.
Now he’s blaming the problems of his presidency on the very issues that he promised to fix, when his own ineptitude made the situations that he vowed to repair even worse.
When Biden came into the White House the world was at peace, the Southern border was secure, gas prices were low and the vaccine was being rolled out.
It’s easy to see why Biden has dropped in the polls.
A recently released NBC News Poll revealed Biden’s approval rating has dropped down to new lows. Among those polled, only 40 percent approved of Biden’s handling of the presidency. During his first quarter as president Biden enjoyed approval ratings between 54 percent to 57 percent, with an average rating of 56 percent.
